Default Pain and Omega 6's and Grains?

A man I was talking to said that when he eats things like peanut butter it cause him more pain and inflamation. He is not allergic but because of the high omega 6. Is this correct or just for him. I thought most nuts were good but I know I read things like butter can cause high inflammation. Also if one does not have issue with gluten do whole grains in bread cause more inflammation or is it better to stick with grains like potatoes or oatmeal?

I am gluten intolerant so cant answer the last one cept for WHOLE grain good for fiber and motility ... lighty processed ie cracked wheat better for digestion

omega 6 in VERY VERY high levels are inflammatory but if you balance 6 and 3 should be no issue... NUTS are excellent sources of ESSENTIAL fatty acids , Protein

Lightbulb there is

an Omega-3 peanut butter now.

It is the RATIO of omega-3 to 6 that counts. Typical poor US diets have a ratio
of omega-3 to 6 of 1:25

That ratio should be more like 1:5 or close to 1:1 (the latter is hard to do)

Since omega-6 are plentiful in the diet, eating fried foods, and many vegetarians become omega-3 depleted. Elevated omega-6's increase inflammatory PGE2s in the body.

Since more foods now have omega-3's added to them, things can be balanced more. But just eating some peanut butter here and there is no different from having some potato chips or fries.

There are salad dressings with canola oil, Mayo with canola, omega-3 eggs, and omega-3 peanut butter.

Everything you eat should be balanced in moderation.

Thanks. I agree everything in moderation and I am always skeptical about a food causing pain unless someone is allergic. Yet also don't want to take a chance so I thought if people had issues they saw maybe I would try alternatives.
