Default B-12 supp w/ no sweetener/sugar? liquid?

Hello all,

I've been taking oral methyl B-12 tabs for a while now, but I've been having trouble w/ reactive hypoglycemia, and I find that the tabs sometimes make my blood sugar swing too much. This can especially be a problem since I try to take it on an empty stomach.

Jarrow brand uses xylitol instead of a "real" sugar, and those have less of an effect. But even that can sometimes be a little much. And they take forever to dissolve, which is annoying (although maybe better for my blood sugar response).

Has anyone had good luck with a sublingual tab or liquid B-12 that contains no sweetener of any kind?

Thanks!

Lightbulb you can swallow them.

I don't believe much is accomplished under the tongue.

Most dissolves and is swallowed with saliva.
Just be sure to take on an empty stomach, with no food for an hour after.
This way the microgram will not be lost in the food fiber and blocked from absorption.

Thanks for the replies. I'll check out NOW brand.

mrsd, just to be clear, swallowing them instead of holding them under my tongue wouldn't help the problem I'm trying to solve here. Blood sugar is affected by the sugar you ingest, not the sugar you taste.

Lightbulb How much sugar do you think

is in a little sublingual tablet? They are not candy.

I would not expect much, or enough to affect blood sugar.

Most of us use the Jarrow brand and many of us swallow it.
Source Naturals is also sugar free.

You can look and compare brands here:
