Default is it ok if i break up the capsule when taking taurine?

I just bought some new taurine from iherb, and having a hard time swallowing the capsules(might be a side effect to the meds I take) Is it ok if i break it up and put it into water or some liquid?? it comes in a powder, inside a capsule form.

Lightbulb taurine is found in energy drinks...

so if you want to mix the powder in something, I don't see any harm in that.

It might not taste terrific however, as I suspect it is bitter.
