Default Outer lip burn? Blister treatment?

I did a stupid thing and ate such hot oatmeal. It was so hot that in the microwave it was boiling over. I just wasn't thinking. This was yesterday. Anyhow after it happened I applied cool wash clothes and now today have been putting neosporin lip treatment and chapstick. It has formed a bubble on my outside of lip like a cold sore. I am assuming like a filled blister. Is there anything else I should apply or being doing? It looks like it needs to pop and is so gross. Thanks

Lightbulb if you have

alot of pain? There are numbing agents.
Anbesol liquid has 20% benzocaine for example. It might sting when you first apply it, but then it will numb for a while. It is also antiseptic and kills germs.

There is a fatty acid healing ointment called Abreva. It is targeted for herpes, but in reality it would work for other healing issues. Not INexpensive however.

Don't feel badly... I burned the inside of my upper palate once... blistered up... hurt like the devil too.
It happens.

When my son was little he was tooting on a toy flute/whistle and fell and scraped his upper palate badly. That was very hard to deal with...he cried and cried and I felt so badly for him! Anbesol to the rescue.

Thanks. I asked the pharmacist too and he told me about that numbing ointment. It doesn't hurt too bad just irritated now and I hate that numb feeling. It looks so uglt though but he said it should heal soon. I feel like I do so many dumb things lately. I just am not thinking but I know like you said it happens to a lot of people. Just a build up of stuff if you know what I mean.
