Default Tiny pimples on baby since I ate sauerkraut. Advice?

I've been looking for an answer for many months. I'm quite convinced it is a food reaction. I think it was the sauerkraut... because it seems he also gets diaper rash when I eat pickles.

So, do you think it is an over-abundance of something... or did I mess up my balance of something else?

I love to know people's thoughts on this. It would be wonderful to have some kind of direction to go.

Lightbulb hard to tell...

You know people are so different. I'd die it I ate sauerkraut.... I can't tolerate
it all!

Do you see an eczema type thing? Is it localized? Like only on the cheeks?

My son got eczema on his cheeks from citrus juices. They got very angry and
red. I could not give him "real" juice until he was over 2 yrs old.
So it was Hawaiian punch, mostly and not often. He could handle that.

Vinegar is common to both sauerdraut and pickles. Also histamine is a possiblity.

Thanks MrsD.

I really thought it was the one bowl of saurkraut that I ate, many months ago. Then later I thought it was eggs and cut them out of my diet.

The pimples did get better (on his cheeks and doesn't look dried out like excema tends to look) but are still not gone.

Actually just this afternoon I gave him some banana pudding (homemade, of course ). This will be his first, first-hand contact with eggs... so we'll see what his cheeks do.

I appreciate the list of foods. I wasn't eating nuts for a while (I generally don't eat them through the summer) but with the cold weather coming, I always get the gumption for some nut dishes... so I don't think it's them.

You've given me loads to think about. Thanks again.

Are you familiar with what many pediatricians call 'baby acne'? It looks like that.

All 3 of my kids had it... only I'm smart enough now to know that it's related to food.

Maybe I'll try and get a photo posted tomorrow.

kim, my sisters 2 girls had "baby acne". after months of watching what she ate, she found out it was her bath soap. it took until she had the second one to find this out. that little bit of fragrance and moisturizer rubbed off on those little cheeks. she even started washing her bras out in unscented baby soap. it might have a been a combo of it all.

i too think baby acne is caused by something and not just happens. lil'monkey is my youngest. she is 12 and STILL uses unscented baby soap. she has beautiful skin. eats very healthy too, i'm sure that helps.
