I recently started taking amino acids and am somewhat surprised at their effectiveness.
maybe this was just a small part of what my body was deficient in, or maybe I was having problems converting proteins to amino acids or something. but regardless I am now taking an now amino acid 1500 supplement, and I feel much stronger and overall better. maybe it was the vit b6 in the supplement itself or something but i feel like my body is now recuperating after years of damage from stress/ anxiety etc. and the somatic symptoms that went along with that. here's an article I just read on the safety and usage of amino acids: http://www.mothernature.com/Library/...Books/23/5.cfm and furthermore more info on benefits of amino acids:http://alternative-medicine-and-heal...st.htm#alanine but regardless I was wondering if Mrs D or anyone had any suggestions on what products are good for amino acid supplementation possibly through iherb.

and make a shake a day with yogurt and fresh fruit. Use the scoop that is provided for one serving.
You will get more aminos with less cost that way. The Jarrow ones are very good. (like the example I gave you in the other thread.) Choose one that lists how much of each is on the label. If you have low stomach acid, or use acid blocking drugs for a long time, you cannot break out amino acids from the protein you eat. So then they don't get absorbed. Whey protein is predigested, so acid problems (lack of) do not impact the absorption.

For many people, the dairy protein is contra-indicated. Total Amino Solution (TAS) by Genesa Living (also sold via the TrueHope website) has no dairy.
This product was quite helpful to members in my family that apparently have the same genetic/epigenetic problems going on. |

I too have noticed that Amino Acids have a powerful influence over me and find them exciting!!!
Mrs. D...can you give me an idea as to why Whey Protein gives me a headache? I just can't tolerate it. Thank you. |

If your whey is high in glutamine.... this makes glutamate in
the brain. (among other functions). You may also have a dairy intolerance you are not aware of? Most people tolerate whey easily. But there are exceptions. How much do you use? One scoop is not alot once a day.

Two scoops...out of the question.
One scoop...50/50 chance I willl get a bad headache. I've recently been tested for allergies. Do not have the results yet. Perhaps dairy will turn up as a possibility. I have my suspicions. Thank you!!! |

funky things meaning specifically arginine and tyrosine, can do funky stuff to the body.

What Dr. Hyman wrote about is exactly what countless of individuals (including parents of children with autism, bipolar, ADHD, and schizophrenia) have been finding out on their own. As well as adults with these disorders and so much more going awry in the body. They found out the hard way, and without much guidance. |

i think stress contributes to alot of nutritional deficiencies, and metabolisms problems. where your body is out of whack. so i think stress basically overlaps with alot of problems that go on with the body, so that stress not only contributes to the problems, but also the problems contribute to the stress. so you could say in a word that they are intrinsically related
