In early 2008 I took a bluegreen algae supplement "designed" to boost the numbers of circulating stem cells in my blood in the hopes of repairing some of the damage done by APS to organs. Within 48 hours I was wildly neutropenic with only 500 white blood cells, had a hematocrit drop of 7 points, was really, really dizzy and had a small bleed that thankfully proved to be self-contained in my spleen.... Took close to two weeks in hospital to recover from that...

Anytime I hear the words bluegreen algae since then smoke starts coming out of my ears....! It really is something that can potentially be oh so dangerous and people just don't realise or realise the hard way...
