Weigh-in day!!

Since I weighed so early last Saturday I figured I'd do it at the same time today. Lost 2 more pounds! That brings my total to 22 pounds!! If I could just lose 15 more I'd be satisfied but ultimately I'd like to get down about 20-25 more. It's doable!!

Good luck to everyone!

I lost another pound! Kitty you sound like we are in about the same place. Mr.Alffe weighed himself at the big scale in the grocery this morning because he said he thinks ours is "off". He weighed two pounds less there, with his clothes on! I told him not to touch ours...it is, what it is. *grin

I was afraid that I had gainned a pound because yesterday I went overboard with Mache....love it, don't often buy it because it's too $$ but felt I needed a treat....can't believe I ate the whole container.

Congratulations, Alffe!

You know, I think it helps me stick to my healthy eating plan when I allow myself a small treat now and then. I've learned that I don't have to have a huge bowl of ice cream.......a couple of spoonfuls is adequate and satisfies my craving. If I have a big bowl of it I'm going to finish it..,.,whether I'm hungry or not! Sadly, ice cream doesn't agree with my tummy any longer so I pay the price when I eat it. Guess it's a good thing. Makes it easier to resist!

Do you find that you're hungrier throughout the day if you eat early in the day? I'm never hungry until afternoon so I usually just have Activia and coffee in the AM. Yesterday I ate a Healthy Choice entree about 11 AM and I was hungry all day.

Good luck to everyone else who is on the diet bandwagon!

well I miss you!
not having a computer really *****.

Congratulations to both of you for your weight loss!
I have been really good so tonight....
WE are having a lot of food, boiled crawfish with potatoes and corn!!!!
even some char broiled oysters with cheese!!!!
a real splurge but hey we have to cheat every now and then right? We don't want our bodies to go into starvation mode.
that can happen if we are too strict for too long.
happy healthy eating!

I was told (and it makes sense to me) that to break a plateau you need to eat something completely off your diet. Like for you, Alffe, it would be something high in carbs. Apparently, this sort of jolts your body back into the weight loss mode. I've tried it and it does seem to work. If I hit a period of time where I just can't seem to lose no matter what I'll go to Burger King or Zaxby's and have a really "bad" meal (but it's sooooo good!!) and then right back on my diet. Within a few days I'm back to losing again. I guess the trick is to just do this once in a while. A greasy cheeseburger sure is good, though!

Kitty..from your lips to God's ear! thank you! I know exactly what I'll have...Stouffers Mac & Cheese!!! But I'll wait until Wed. when my company is gone. Biz's sisters will be here visiting and they are also dieting so I need to "set a good example".

Biz...any clue when you'll get your computer back? Enjoy your dinner tonight!

Just be careful not to eat too much of it, Alffe. If you've avoided food like that for a long while it could upset your tummy the first time. Sort of "shocks" it, I guess. I learned this the hard way...
