lemon pepper chicken
yellow squash and zuchinni steamed with some mild green peppers called aniheim peppers.
mixed Greens salad, tomatoes, carrots, fat free salad dressing.
I am not counting calories...too hard and I was obsessing over that...

I think I will try a turkey meat loaf tomorrow with spinach and salsa.

that sounds good Biz...I never tried ground turkey. I don't think it matters what kind of a diet we are on, it's whatever works
for us. Mr.Alffe was able to wear the allegator belt I purchased for him years ago...it pleased him! Like finding new clothes in your closet.

Weigh In Day!! I tell ya, one of these weeks when I've been bad you'll know it because I won't be announcing "weigh-in day" so enthusiastically!

I lost 3 more pounds!! I've really been digging in my heels this past week. How is everyone else doing?

Three more pounds!! I am so impressed Kitty. I lost one pound and I really needed to see that because I was afraid I was stuck again.

Mr.Alffe is going to be away for several days so I'll be eating differently...things he doesn't like....Shrimp for instance.

Good job, Alffe! I'm happy with any loss I have at this point. I'm expecting to reach a plateau soon but maybe I'll get lucky and avoid it.

I bought 2 heads of cabbage and some zucchini and yellow squash at the market this week. I love cabbage. I just cut it into quarters and boil it with a vidalia onion. No salt, no fat, nothing but cabbage. Makes the house smell terrible but nobody here to offend with it so I cook it! I love to heat it up and eat it. I cube up the squash and zucchini with a chopped onion and sautee it in a tiny bit of Smart Balance. I can eat all of it if I want.....not many calories.

Our farmers market opens in June. They set it up in the downtown square and all the local farmers bring their crops to sell. I love going there. They have it every Saturday morning from June through September. You just can't find tomatoes in the stores like the ones you find there.

I cooked half a head of cabbage the other night with different clolred peppers and some ginger sesemme suce it was so good!
that sounds so yummy kitty!
I want a good tomato!!!! we get the little cherubs, they come in a yellow plastic container and are very expensive but are very sweet and tasty.
all of the other ones are terrible!

I confess, am having a hard time dieting because of my fattening beer that I like to drink...sigh

I confess....I am doing terrible with my diet....
I have been adding french vanilla creamer to my coffee. each cup becomes 100 calories, I usually have 2 cups...
my beer that I like has 316 calories a beer, i usually have 2...
that is 832 calories on beverages that I drink on a given day.
to lose weight I was following a 1200 calorie a day diet....
(and not drinking those beverages)
the math does not add up.
Dieting is all about sacrificing....
I should look at it differently....

Biz why don't you try Fat Free half & half in your coffee. I think life is too short to give up things we enjoy....and I don't think dieting is about sacrifice..for me it's about self image and that's why it's easy to "do without"...I am beginning to like what I see. I'd give up that bread for lunch...and you don't have that much to lose..you look great.

Kitty you made me think about the wonderful farmers market in Madison, WI....it's downtown on the Capital grounds and has everything!! I love it. http://www.dcfm.org/
