Hi Ladies!!

I've been reading thru this post/forum... You all are very inspiring!! I want to join in the weight loss party

Weight has been a problem my entire life. A few years ago I went on a medication where I gained 35+ pounds- give/take then add the 10 pounds due to taking steriods this winter (just looking at food while taking that drug makes a person gain weight). ugh!

Today I had planned on going to the gym and taking a walk. It didn't happen because I got so dizzy and the vertigo hit me even while I laid down due to getting dizzy. Not how I wanted today to go. I have a lot to do today but need to get back into the exercise routine somehow- someway.

I have an eating disorder but I do know how to eat healthy. I've been able to eat wisely the last 6 years. This week has not been good to me but I'm getting back on the horse to healthy living!

Glad to find this forum. I hope I can follow in your footsteps ladies! You have made me believe I too, can lose weight the healthy way and maintain it. Hope is what I have needed to get started.

Welcome Coffeegirl! I need to climb back on that horse myself...had another one of those grilled cheese sandwiches!! I keep telling myself that it's comfort food....but it's very fattening, like most comfort foods.

I am possitive the weight loss thing can happen! I was scared for my health, 60lbs less is fantastic, and I hope I can offer hope and a few receipes. It just takes wanting to very much thats all. A love for yourself maybe helps too. The best things I did, was to drink water alot, no fast food, no coke or pepsi or diet drinks. The weight poured off. I still drink milk and eat normally. My weakness is ice cream, I just can't buy it, or I eat it. Good luck and let me know if there is anything I can help you with. ginnie

still to the gym 3 times a week, weights stair masters and tred mill, feels good going. Today we also danced alittle at a festival here in town.
that was fun! listened to my hubby play in his band called joe hall and the louisiana cane cutters, they were good and he had fun!

since March 11th, it has been 8 months and I am down 25 pounds.
I had to buy a couple of pairs of jeans as none of my long pants fit...now that it is getting cool I can't wear shorts anymore.
heading to the gym....am sore from planting all of those bulbs...hopefully I will still be able to stick to my work out routine.
weights and 40 minutes on stair masters now.

only did part of my work out routine due to me talking to a trainer about body issues. I have not been doing any weight training with my legs...none.
which is wrong
so I need to work that into my routine...I was told that I should be able to leg press double my weight!
I talked a long time about my body shape and how I was still unhappy.
I had reached my target weight but still have ALOT of fat on my hips and thighs!!!!!!So they said I could lose about 5 more pounds and that if I started lifting leg weights that would help tone them up. Dieting and exercise is the only way to lose the fat.
ok!
I did a few weights and only 30 minutes on the stair masters....
I feel good about my session.
