It is hard eating sensibly over the holidays when there is so much good food around, left overs from thanksgiving, and those pies! I have half of a pumpkin and half of a pecan chew that I made in the refridgerator.
I have another pecan chew and a chocolate fudge brownie in the freezer!!!!My neighbor just started the atkins diet...I told her about the flat out wrap and the natures own double fiber bread products that I use when I want a bread product.
I wish her lots of luck, she is a drinker so this diet appealed to her!

I hiked on friday and went to the gym yesterday and am sore today, stiff...it is a good kind of sore.

I have been drinking non alcoholic beer now that I stopped drinking.
Becks has only 60 calories!
I have gained 5 pounds over the holidays....
so easy to gain and so hard to lose!

I've gained, too. Last I checked it was 4 pounds but it very well could be 5 by now. It's just so much easier to diet in the warm weather. Maybe I should move to Florida.....although they've been just as cold as we've been this year. I need to get back on track. I hate the feeling of gaining weight. I felt better when I was losing.

well I wouldn't dare weigh myself...been making sour dough bread and eating it warm out of the oven with lots of butter.

Also, not impressed with the 17 day diet....not giving up completely on it..will go back on it this Monday. Has a good soup recipe in the book...but not nearly as good as sour dough bread.

Leaving in two weeks for a cruise...have to wonder what that will do for my diet....could be easier...lots of choices...exercise my will power.

I bet that sour dough bread would be really good with the diet cabbage soup!

I've had to put my bread maker on a little "time out". Warm bread with butter is just too good to pass up.

That was my downfall. Freshly baked honey wheat bread....toasted.....with butter and honey. WHY can't other things taste as good!?

I wish I could invent a pill that takes away the sense of taste (temporarily). I think I could finally lose all the weight I want if I had that!

I think that you can start your diet after the cruise!

Happy cruising, Alffe! I wouldn't dare even think about dieting while on a cruise. Just relax and have fun. There's always time to diet later (my famous last words ).
