I am still struggling with giving up sugar. I had some medi fast "oat meal" today...full of soy protien and actually tasted like oatmeal, only had 100 calories and I was not hungry for a long time...could not believe it! It is very expensive but may have to order some, a friend gave me some to try. Congratulations alffe and ginnie on the sustained weight loss!!!!! awesome! bizi |
Thanks Bizi....consider trying the Health Food store for the steel cut oatmeal that Ginnie talked about. A lot cheaper!

Thank you bizi. The weight loss is a big deal for anyone on that journey. I actually did it too fast. 19 months. I had help in a way because I was in pain when I was obese. I figured if I didn't do something, the upcoming surgery would not go as easily. I also loose my appetite when the pain is bad, so that gave me the added boost to do something right. I made up my mind that when I was hungry I was going to put only good things into my mouth period. The weight poured off fast once I changed my eating habbits. If I could give everyone struggling out their with their weight one good sentance, I would say to put nothing in your mouth that isn't good for you. Coke, Pepsi, lots of sugar, salt, butter spreads, donuts, all that stuff has to go. I now drink real milk, have small amounts of real butter, and I eat all food groups in moderation. I learned to eat a less amount of food in general. I had wings on super bowl sunday and I was not guilty over it. I only ate four, had veggies and dip, and I did have a treat, a glass of coke. I still love it. I am having the best time of my life right now with cloths. I have never fitted into anythingbut oversized t shirts and big baggy sweats. Now I can look like a lady and smile, even with the lumps ande bumps I look good at 59. I shop good will for cloths and have found desigener things for little money. Go girls, it is so fun to do this and look like I have not looked like since high school. I am praying for each of you, that you find success and peace with food. I wish I could send you my joy in this note. ginnie

Hi I have to buy some more scales mine broke so I have no idea what
I weight. Heehee But I do watch what I eat. So I'm still doing well. I will restart my exercise soon. The dizziness is better, but it has to get lots better before I can challenge my body. I'm so glad you are both doing well. Donna:grouphug: |
This is what I ate today:
1/2 cup almond milk 2 small oranges banana At the organic health food cafe: rotisseri chicken, thigh and leg and skin yummy, i know that I should not have.... cooked kale cooked collard greens cooked carrots texas road house dinner: broiled salmon salad, tomatoes romaine, no dressing steamed brocolli and carrots lots of herbal tea, decafe coffee dried mango slices for snack tonight I am very full and ate the paleo diet, no grains, no legumes, no dairy, no sugar. I made it! did not think that I could do this for even one day. bizi don't ask me how many calories!!!!!! |
well I am up 15 pounds now. should really think about dieting again....

I've gained some, too. :( I had a doctor appointment on Monday and according to their scales I've gained 4 pounds. I would have guessed it was more. :o I need to get back on my diet, too. Usually it's easier for me to diet during the Summer. I need to get my motivation back.
