Default hello ....

hey guy's , i've been working hard to lose weight , lost 35 kg so far
that's 77 lbs , but now for some reason my weight just refuse to go down
im on the hardest diet ever and im losin weight so slowwwwww
i do exercies and everything i can't exercies hard with that diet but im doing at least half hour walkin everyday and 3 day's per week workout

my tall is 176 ( 5.9 ft ) and current weight 100 kg , ( 220 lbs )

my goal is 88 kg ...

i lost that 35 kg in 2.5 months and now i can't lose the last 12 kg

any idea's what to do to make the progress goes faster ?

>< how long it might take to lose 12 kg ?

Hi and welcome to NeuroTalk!

What kind of diet are you on? Is it overly restrictive in any one area (carbs, protein?)?

You may just be experiencing the plateau. I think most dieters experience this at some point in their weight loss. It's so frustrating because no matter what you do the scale won't budge. I've been there and it's maddening.

This suggestion might not work for everyone but it did for me....and still does when I want to "jumpstart" my weight loss after I've gone several weeks without any loss at all. I will take a day and eat things I wouldn't normally eat to lose weight. I don't go wild, but eating something like a bowl of ice cream and maybe some bread or some type of healthy fat seems to trick my metabolism and start it moving again.

Good luck with your continued weight loss....sounds like you've done amazingly well. Those last pounds always seem to be the hardest to get rid of.

wow congratulations!!! that is alot of weight in a short amount of time. Be very careful as you progress.
Think of this as a life style change and not a diet.
IN my opinion, diets higher in carbs tend to put weight on me. so I try to limit my carb intact.
be patient you are young and have lots of time to retrain your eating habits.
curious how you found us? do you see other areas here at neuro talk that you could receive support.
I am bipolar and post on those forums as well.
When I first started dieting I had to count calories. then I learned what foods to eat and stopped counting but continued to watch my carb intake.
What kind of a diet are you on?
I have gained back some of the weight that I lost so am starting my new diet today, watching my carbs and sugar intake.
Some people just stop 4 things, no flour , no sugar, no potatos no rice.I would throw in there no corn.
The atkins diet has helped many many people to lose weight.
I have been toying with wishing that I had the will power to follow the cave mans diet.
The paleo diet:
no processed foods.
no grains(wheat, corn, oats etc), no legumes, (soy, beans, peanuts)
no dairy and of course no sugar.
eat only fresh meats, eggs, all vegetables including sweet potatos, they are a root. fruits,(including coconut) nuts, seeds. good fats from olive oil and coconut oil, and almond milk.
I think it is a very expensive way to eat but has a lot of health benefits.
I hope you come back and share what you have been doing.

well first of all , thanks alot for your replay guys' and your words gave me more moviaition on my diet and weight losing

by the way i checked my weight just today and i found that i lost 2 kg yay !
finally my weight goes under 100 kg it feels great


well and here is my weight lose journey

at first i went to doc he gave me suck diet plan , and he used weird machines on my body lol and then i changed and went to another doc that made me drink weird drinks , it was just stupid seriously , and i was paying hunderds each time , then i decide to lose weight on my own , i just said if i wanna lose weight and can't do it by my self then i will get fat again and again and then going to doc's again etc lol

i tried at first just exercising and picking the right food , i lost 5 kg in 2 weeks and then i stopped and started eating back but i didn't gain any weight that was rly great so my advice to anyone want to lose weight in healthy/correct way and not gaining it back just exercies and pick your food

you can eat very tasty and healthy food at the same time and even drink soda drinks and you wont gain weight just by learning the right way for picking food and the correct times for eating , and you can eat fat food but then eat less of it ^^

i didn't follow that healthy way for weight lose coz i wanted to lose alot of weight ,, i needed to lose 50 kg , that's alot and would take pretty long by exercising and eating less only so i followed diet , i searched alot untill i found good mixed diet that gives you all type of fodo to eat
it has crabs protiens drinks fruits nd everything but mostly it focus on protiens and it focus on types of food that fast the progress of burnning fat's

if you need that diet ill write everything about it in the forums in a new topic or something

sorry im a bit in rush now have to go , you can add me if you wanna discuss something about weight losing or just chatting

I thank you for posting. I think that drinking sodas is a big mistake. personally I try to not drink any calories, unless I find a good low carb protein drink. sodas are so bad for us. jsut my opinion.
what you eat in a particular day would be insightful.

I agree with Bizi......diet soda (any soda, really) is a big mistake. Especially the diet soda as it contains aspertame and that has been proven to be very harmful to us.

I used to drink Coca-Cola. The regular kind. It was full of sugar and empty calories. It was hard but I stopped all carbonated drinks and now only drink filtered water. What a difference it has made! I still get the occasional craving for a Coke but know how bad it makes me feel so it's not so hard to resist it. I cannot stress enough how important clean, filtered water is to our health and metabolism.

You're young so the sooner you correct any bad habits the more benefits you'll reap throughout your life.

You've done an amazing job with your weight loss. I'm sure you'll be an inspiration to many who are struggling with this.

well im trying to quit sodas too and i just knew about that aspertame eww , before that diet i used to drink lot pepsi that i didn't even drink any water at all lol , everyday i was drinking like 2-3 liter of pepsi

but now im drinking only one kan a week and hope i can totaly quit it soon , i just love itttttttttt^^

btw what do you mean by filtered water ? the normal water?

and btw i found that forusm by searching on google , i was searching about why i look thinner than my weight and i found the answer on that forums

anyway soon ill post pic for me ,maybe after finishing that one week diet im on ...

particular day hmm here is one day of my old diet . the 1 month diet program


breakfast : 2 eggs + 1 orange OR cup of orange juice

lunch : 1 type of fruit and any amount of it

dinner : steak meat


and here is a day of my new weird diet lol , it's one week program
im on the 5th day now and i lost 2 kg so it's working , the old diet doesn't work for me anymore coz i done it 2 times maybe

breakfast : 2 eggs + 1 peice cucumber + Mortadella (as you want)

lunch : salad , just the green salad but without adding tomato or carrots

dinner : peice of meat + yogurt

i have question here , i dont have mortadella in egypt so i just bought Luncheon
there's something called mortadella but it's made only of pork meat , it's for christians only , and so i can't buy it , and yeah i know that's stupid but it's another story ^^^

so can i make that mortadella at home in healthy way by using beef meat * cow , or chicken meat ?

coz Luncheon doesn't rly feel good when im eating it im sure they not putting any meat in it and just lot of crap lol , i buy the best one but i still can't feel good about it so if u know how to make that mortadella at home in healthy way or something familier let me know please ,

I didn't know what mortadella was so I looked it up. Here is the definition for those who also didn't know.....http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mortadella

I don't eat any processed lunch meat or sausage. Too many nitrates. If you can find grass-fed beef or free range chicken where you are I'd suggest that. They won't have any antibiotics or hormomes added to their feed or injected into the animal themselves. I don't eat much meat but what I do eat has to be organically farmed.

Good luck on your attempt to stop drinking soda. You've done great so far. One can a week is a definite improvement over two 3-liter bottles!

I'm from the U.S. State of Georgia. It's incredibly hot here right now. It's Summer so it's expected but it's really, really hot early in the season. This type weather makes me just want to drink water and eat cold things....like watermelon! YUM!

coz then i will use lbs and ft

well i can find grass-fed beef that's easy in egypt since all of the animals are grass -fed hehe , now i will just search about how to cook it , men suck at cook lol i been trying to cook since i was kid xD nd everytime i get sick , but that should be easy i hope xDD

well watermelon is one of my fav fruits , the american watermelons looks different than the one's we have here btw , in usa it looks green , here it's very dark green xD i find the egyptian watermelon sexy than usa one's hehe but i guess it taste the same everywhere ^^

lemon juice is great at the summer too im thinking alot about it these day's, but i can't drink it coz it require adding alot of suger , what if i added honey it wont make me fat ? or still alot of calories?

but hey you're sayin hot weather xD come to egypt for a week ^^ you will find usa very cold then hehehe

in egypt it gets 50 C ^^ idk how to count it in F ;O

that reminds me of something , u know before dieting i used to have everyday lot of candy and on my food i add alot of butter nd salt , now when i eat something with normal salt i feel it's extra and if i ate some candy cant' eat more than one peice lol

I add mint oil to my water so that it tastes better, refreshing.
honey is like sugar and enters the blood stream quickly to raise your blood sugar quickly this raising of your blood sugar is what causes problems.
This causes your pancrease to put out insulin and can cause a yo yo effect on your blood sugar levels.
they recommend eating low gylcemic foods google this....
Foods that go thru your system slowly.
drinking plenty of water will help you feel full. the triggers for our bodies that we are hungry are the same ones when we are thirsty. so if you feel hungry most times it is really that we need to drink more water.
