Anyone here of the paleo food plans?
The concept (more or less) is that back in time our ancestors prior to the agricultural age where healthier and leaner. Additionally, the thought is that more people than originally though might be either allergic or subclinically sensitive to gluten, dairy, etc. So the writers of these books advocate eliminating bread, grains and dairy for 30 days to see what happens. They seem to vary a bit....but from what I gather, the writers advocate eating mostly lean meat, fish, etc., nuts, seeds, lots of vegetables, moderate fruit... I think I saw one that allows limited potato. Some say MUCH weight can be lost this way at a steady rate. Has anyone heard about this? Thoughts? |
