Default Wonderful Monday~

Well it is Monday and time for me to go to my favorite store Goodwill. This is senior day and I hope to find some bargans there.

Bizi~ I noticed where your poison ivy is bothering you throught the night. I do feel for you. Hope it is better soon.

Wendy~ I hope you do well today also. Your little Mattie is cute as a doll! Thats saying a lot coming from me. I hope I can get a doll today. I haven't had much luck for awhile. But then I have no place to put another one anyway.

I hope you all have a good day and I'll come back in later.

Morning Billie.
To answer BF's question from yesterday, yes they need to be warm since they are a reptile and are cold blooded like snakes and other creepy crawlies in that are in that are in that family of animals. Luckily our torties are still small enough that heat lamps and tanks. A couple of breeds we have will grow beyond those tanks but only two of our tortoises will remain small enough to stay in a tank. Actually these little critters of ours will probably outlive us and we will have to think now about who would take them when we go.
Okay enough tortie talk. As those of you who are aware, I will answer any questions you have about my babies but I will talk for ages about them too!
I am doing okay today. Very tired and having period pains the last couple of days so I feel icky.

Good morning everyone, it is Monday again. I do have good news though...I fit into a pair of jeans that I bought last fall but have never worn because they were too tight I have not weighed yet and not sure I will because if I have not lost pounds I may get discouraged so for now I am going off of how my clothes feel.

Billie, have fun at GW today. Are you getting a little doll obsessed??/Just kidding with you, I am glad you found something that makes you happy. How is Gaye doing? She is coming to see you soon right?

Wendy-cool tortoises-- What do you do when they are too big for the tank since you are in an apartment? Here they have tortoise habitats at some of the schools and out at Red Rock. The kids loved the one they had at their elementary school, I wonder if it is still there? We gave ours to a friend who lived out in the desert where there were other tortoises around. He used to give us updates but they moved so who knows. Ours had a mark on it that looked like a bird so he could sometimes find it wandering around. Geez Wendy i guess I can ramble on about a tortoise too

Bizi---STOP SCRATCHING!!!

To the rest I wish the best ha ha...Sue

Hi everyone,

I'm hurting really bad today from over doing things Saturday in the nice warm weather.

Wendy, yea, I'm curious too what do you do when the tortosis get too big for tank. I could talk forever about my youngest brother's kids when I see them but that's so seldom I don't mention them here. Since I don't have any kids my younger brother's kids are the apple of my eye. Hey, is that a saying? I'm hurting so bad today I don't know if I'm making any sense today.

You know, Todd and I have talked about what will happen when they get too big. We will keep them but we may have to move to a warmer climate so that they have the run of the place. Our largest one weighs in at about 8 pounds now and she uses every last ounce of it to make her presence known. Here is a picture of her. We call her Daisy Mae. We let her out and walk around the apartment when she wants out and that makes her a happy camper. Yes they are a bunch of spoileds. Since the idea of children is not in the cards for me because of all the meds I am on, these are our babies.
When they all become this size.....who knows what we will do. We are moving to a larger apartment when it is ready later in the spring so Daisy will have more to explore.
