Fatigue is a major symptom of low potassium...this is what really got me.
Years ago, I had a friend who was paranoid about salting foods and she was on BP meds, which also can pull potassium out of your body, well she had enough episodes when she would pass out, we could be sitting at the dinner table and she just "went"....so when the paramedics would come and would always take her to the ER, her potassium was in the tank, they had to do IV's....this is before I was so aware of the potassium issue. I take BP meds, so I'm aware of that for me also. |

Vowel Lady, when I visit a Target store and there is no Revive fruit punch there, or only a very few bottles, I take the product UPC code to the service desk and ask them to run a check for me. They print out a list that shows the quantities on hand at all Target stores in our geographic vicinity as of the previous night. Then I know exactly where to go to get what I want. The UPC code for the Revive fruit punch I use is 786162003744.
Thanks for the link of 15 high potassium foods. I’m afraid I don’t eat many of those foods, only tomato sauce, green beans, bananas, and orange juice. I now drink almond milk instead of dairy milk, and unfortunately it only contains 25 mg of potassium per cup. |

I was feeling a slump a bit ago, so took 4 99mg complexed potassium that I have from vitacost...felt a lifting pretty quickly. I like this new product.
On the foods, one has to be on TOP of them all the time. Some are high in sugar and other issues, so we need to be aware too. That's why I like the capsules I'm using too. BP meds can pull potassium out of body, so I take that into account. I'm understanding that folate pulls potassium from the body, and for the last couple yrs I'm taking a homocysteine formula which contains folate... Last edited by caroline2; 06-27-2015 at 07:42 PM. |
