Well The cat was crying and we still have a guest(17 year old abigail) sleeping in our living room. (It has been a cat free zone since we moved in 13 years ago.) She moved there when the cat hair really bothered her sleeping(neck itching) on our guest bedroom bed, cats like to sleep there. Before she arrived jeff tried to brush off all of the cat fur but you can't get the dander off that way. Anyway she is sleeping well on the couch and the cat crying did not wake her up.

It has been interesting having her stay with us.
Yesterday, I explained to her that I was bipolar, told her the story of my first time being psychotic...she took it pretty well. She asked me why we did not have any children, I told her that I had a hard enough time just taking care of myself....
I have been spending more money on food(shopping at whole foods) trying to appease her desire for organics and natural foods and she is a vegetarian but eats fish so we have been eating talapia, shrimp stir fry, I made a veggie quiche the other day which was very good.
Her mom and dad are still out of town for a few more weeks she will be staying with us until thursday I think. Then she moves on to someone else for several weeks until she goes to new york with her friends as a high school graduation trip.
It is unknown when her mom will be back. She is recoverying from her mental health break down at her sisters in north carolina.
Her Dad gets back from Iowa the day after she leaves for new york.

Today is her only day off this week. She works at sonic. 5 hours a day on her feet 6 days a week.
She is really no trouble.
I told jeff it was his turn to come up with dinner tonight.
Jeffs performance went so so this saturday when he played with the wind ensemble. He was not pleased with his performance. The audience liked his work and we could not tell he was having a hard time. I thought he sounded good and told him that. This was the piece that he performed in china, he said he played it much better there.

I have remained alcohol free this whole month.
Abigail shared with me that her mom told her that I was an alcoholic. I told her that I was a binge drinker. That I could not stop at 1 or 2 drinks but would drink 5. But that I would have periods of abstinance like this month when I choose to not drink. The only way that I can lose weight is by not drinking. And the 4 months before that...and the 5 months AF year and a half ago. I love to drink....it is just so fattening! I am more fun when I drink, but it is not good for me. Messes with my meds and I drink too much.

139 pounds this morning.
WE walked in the neighborhood last night it was humid and I was wearing some jeans, I need to dig out some shorts to wear in the future. The jeans were so hot!
Going to take a shower this morning, will have another cup of coffee to start the day.
Last night I was productive, did a months worth of charting that I had gotten behind in...one month left. so that was a relief, I have been so unmotivated. The yard needs attention as does the house, cat hair everywhere and the floors need sweeping. My bathroom floor is grimey.
I want to start jogging again my leg feels normal again. Guess I am afraid I will reinjure it. But the more time I stay away from the gym the more behind I will get. I need to take it easy tonight. I think I will go to the gym tonight and then finish my paperwork.
It has been raining off and on, our grass is high.
Better get going....

A HUGE CONGRATULATIONS for sticking to your alcohol-free pledge, now just keep it up as you know how better you are without it. We tend to only SEEM more fun when we are drinking.

You and Jeff are wonderful hosts to Abigail, few people would put themselves out for others like this these days. I hope all appreciate what you are doing.

I can still remember my sporting days of looong ago, recovering from injury and worrying about relapse, but you know your body and, despite fearing breaking down again, sometimes you have to start up again. Just ease into it and ramp up slowly.

For dinner last night we had boca burgers and lentil soup, cheese, a banana, some grapes and some almonds. then went to the gym and walked jogged 2 miles! yes! leg feels fine this morning.

2 cups of coffee with half and half and stevia to sweeten and a cup of vanilla greek yogurt, lots of sugar added oh well. yummy!

The stress of waiting for a scan on my liver is dragging my Depression down to the depths. With my history, and my genetics, thoughts immediately turn to the worst.

But NOTHING is going to distract me from my diet, everything is going so well with everyone's support and I am finding ways to vary my diet in line with calorie counting and Diabetic control.

My little 2 year old Grandson is growing tomatoes and cucumbers in his container garden for me.
