So I have switched to ultra michelob light raspberry beer. and it only has 95 calories a beer.
I have started to watch my carbs and went grocery shopping tonight filled the freezer with meats and veggies.
I need to get back to the gym, it stinks paying and not going!
wish me luck!

Dear Bizi, I wish you luck losing weight. I am not diabetic, but I bought a glucose monitor and now check my blood sugar regularly and it has helped me lose weight because I learned that I get hungry when my blood sugar is falling. But if my glucose is in normal range, I don't eat, I just let it keep dropping. I get hungry, but I don't eat when my blood sugar is in the normal range, the hunger goes away after a few minutes. I am learning how the rising and falling of my glucose levels affect my appetite, and it does help.

We are going to be ultra-strict with our diets for Lent, my Daughter and I. So we are all going to be striving together, bizi.

I will be fighting drowsiness to stay up until the early hours to watch the Super Bowl tonight. Backing Denver as the Underdogs, for no other reason.

Dave.

Ash wednesday....beginning of lent for the mostly catholics that live in my community.
I am not religious at all but felt like this would be an acceptable length of time to do a streak of AF time. My lunch bunch friends are catholic so they would understand my not drinking or declining a whole foods evening at the bar.
I need this time.
It is a round 40 something days until easter.

Hi bizi,

I am with you through Lent - not with the alcohol, but with all the extras that have crept in. We finished Shrove Tuesday with a Chocolate Gateau for my daughter's birthday, and that is it. Lunch today was 2 ricecakes with cheese and cucumber. I have to save calories for a yogurt and cereal bar overnight. Have plenty of smallish Braeburn apples, 55cals, in. Also have dozens of bottles of spring water, although I refill them for a while - saves waste. I cannot use glasses, I drop them.

Here's to a successful 40 days for all here.

Dave.

Well it was art walk, usually a time for eating and drinking free bad wine, jeff is still hung over from last night. So he was not drinking so I asked him to drive because I wanted to drink.

We got a late start and went to mcdoalds for a bad meal.
I had egg burritos and hash brown and oatmeal...comfort food.

By the time we got downtown and parked art walk was half way over.
We listened to a guest violinist perform. Then the usual art galleries were open.
I only had 1/2 a glass of red wine. I would have had more had I the opportunity.
So it was a very mod evening.
We stopped by this new restaurant called sizzling monkey. You can cook your own entree on a firey stone that they bring to your table. sounds interesting.
WE made reservations for 6pm. valentines day sunday.
something new to try. We were going to go to bone fish grill.
but impulsively why not try there? they have only been open 2 weeks so we shall see.
We are rewatching the old x-files on season 9 with 13 episodes left. It has been so entertaining to watch them again. And then to see the new season 10 currently running on monday nights. 2 episodes remain. Don't forget that downton abbey is on at 8pm sunday night.
