I finally found a elliptical that is comfortable for my stride.
I just have to convince myself to buy it- it's on sale so that helps.
I think I need a machine to give me a visual incentive to be regular with it.
{ like a kick in the rear LOL}
plus I like the pulse /timer/miles info that most have

my treadmill broke too= plus they are so noisy and take up so much room!

Default Treadmill Update

Hi Ladies! Hope you are all doing ok. I had a lovely day! The weather here is great. I need to report that I did not walk on the treadmill yesterday...I am sorry...However today was better. I got my walking out of the way early. I did so so with my eating today...But I did eat some chips, not alot, but they did hit my lips. Tomorrow My plan is to walk after work and not eat anything that is not healthy for me.! Thank you gals for all of your support. I look forward to reading your posts every day. You are all very helpful and encouraging and please know that I really do appreciate it!!!

Hi Ladies...I am still walking. I have been doing a mile a day...takes about 15 minutes of my day. Worth it though as I am down 5 pounds

Checking in!! I have not had alot of access to the laptop lately and really miss it. We have been busy all weekend with a soccer tournament in St. Catherines, Ontario. My oldest stepson...a dynamite rep soccer player...made it to the semi finals today!! They tried but the opposing team was a little tougher and scored the winning goal. Oh well...we all had alot of fun!! We also have rosy red cheeks from the sun!! ANYWAY..... Good news! The walking is paying off.....7 pounds down and counting!!! My Doc also finally put me on meds for my diabetes. He said it will hepl to move the excess sugar out of my bloodstream!! I am going to work very hard at keeping it up on the treadmill and really watching what I eat. I feel so happy!!!

Cool

This is fantastic Dorrie!
wonder why your doc was resisting treatment for your diabetes.
Find out what your A1C is.... this should be a single digit blood test result of your overall blood sugars for the past 3 months. (this number should be less than 7)...And this needs to be drawn every 3 months.
It is the best indicator over all how your blood sugars are doing....because we can't test 24/7 ourselves.
just wanted you to know about this blood test if you did not already know about it.
again congratulations on the weight loss!!!!!
Are you following a lower carb diet?...
just curious...
