I am going to borrow my Dad and Mom's treadmill on Wednesday...for as long as I need it. I figure walking has got to be the way to go! I can walk to music and walk while I am doing the laundry.(in between loads!)..walk when I watch T.V. I am going to tell all of you that it my intention to walk on it everyday!! I don't know how far each day, but I vow I will do it!!!! On top of that, my hubby says he might like to try it too!!!I have been concerned about his health for a while. I hope he likes walking...I will not have the extra stress if he is healthier. Did that sound selfish? It wasn't meant to be. Less stress is good as stress just makes my blood sugar rise . Anyway I hope you guys can encourage me...bug me if need be...remind me of my vow!!! I am so EXCITED i will CONQUER this weight problem

Dorrie, you've started a walking thread. Hopefully others will walk or exercise with you. You not only will be successful, you will have company (along with Hubby) taking "virtual walks" with you.
You sure aren't selfish wanting to keep you're Hubby healthy! OK, walk or else this little guy will get you! (check attachment) Froggie |

I use to walk some on my treadmill, but it's broke now, not that I over done it on there! I like to walk outside some, when its warm. You will loose if you keep it up and watch your diet. Good Luck!

Dorrie;
From an ex-treadmiller, that's me, I have this to say: "Make it a habit and it will be your key to good health." I did not make good use out of mine and it eventually became a garage sale item. And now, with peripheral neuropathy in my feet I couldn't use one and really miss it! So happy walking! Nancy |

Thank you everyone!! Your support means alot to me. have had the treadmill for a total of 3 days and I did 5 minutes the first day, 15 the second and 20 minutes today!!! I feel really good when I walk on it and 3 pounds have dropped off quickly!! I have to keep walking so that nasty cockroach dosen't get me! Also love the little picture of the treadmill mishap!!!!! Oh boy I was tired last night and kept walking by the treadmill thinking, I am sooo tired!! I vowed to you ladies that I would do it EVERY DAY so I did....just 10 minutes worth but I did it!!! I felt so much better knowing that I did. It shows that this support group does help.. It was all of you that offered me the encouragement to keep at it that got my feet moving last night...for that I thank you so much!!

Yes, keep it up. If you get tired of walking in the same place, just remember you can go outside and walk. It is so beautiful here right now. I am going to spend a lot of time outside today.
Anne or Froggie is doing some better today. We talked quite a bit, and she seemed so much better on the phone. She still is dizzy tho. keep her in your thoughts and prayers and thanks for doing so. We plan to get together in 47 more days. She needs to be healthy as possible. I can hardly wait. _____ BC |
