Default Please Help!! Fitness/Nutrition - SIMPLE!

I've been tempted to get these P90X and Insanity workouts.

I'm 5 foot 11, and I weigh 272lbs and I need to lose 70 to 100 pounds and get in shape. I've never really been a person to go to a gym or be active, but I've got to get this weight off of me somehow. April 4th I was DXed with MS also. The thing with me is I have to have something laid out in front of me showing me what to do or I won't be able to concentrate. That's why also I've never became a nutrition expert because there are so many people saying different things, and/or they say things in general rather than specifics. So please someone really explain how to get healthy the simple way, I didn't say easy, but simple in explaining how's it done, fitness and nutrition. Don't tell me to google, because I've done that and I don't get so confused.
