Grin Skating my way to victory!

Well it's been a hard road, but within the last year & a half I've managed to lose just over a 100lbs. I still have a ways to go but I've discovered that my main hardship is finding ways to stay interested in exercise. I've joined a local gym and go everyday except for Monday. There I use the elliptical, weights, and swim regularly. This weekend, however, I took up roller blading and let me tell you my legs are really sore! I'm still extremely wobbly but am plodding along! I would definitely recommend it to anyone one needs to feel the burn, my suggestion is to skate near grass though. From experience I can tell you if you feel like you're falling or do fall, concrete certainly will not cushion your bottom! Happy Skating!!

That's awesome about the 100 lbs lost, congrats to you!

skating !!
I tried on low heels the other day -and couldn't even walk in them.
My ankles are so wimpy nowadays - well they always were anyway, but really wobbly now.
I misplaced my favorite dress shoes somewhere - guess I need to find a nice comfy pair before the next family wedding or funeral.

Thumbs up

This is fantastic!
congratulations on the weight loss.
I am afraid of skating for the falling down and weak ankles....think you are brave in trying a new exercise program...good for you!
I just recently started wearing wedges 3-4 inch heel and need to wear that strappy kind for extra ankle support.
Hang in there and you are doing great!
