Default Tuesday Roll Call

Morning Everyone!

It's cloudy and yucky here today and the temp. is going to dropback down into the low 90's - a freakin' cold front, LOL.

Hubby and I are going shopping this morning for items for our bedroom that is being redone. It's been fun seeing the change as we took out a sliding glass door that was a pain and put in a large window. Then a person has to dress that window, which is what we are in the process of doing. I ordered my blinds last week and we are getting the drapes today.

You all have a beautiful day - a beautiful day for beautiful people.

Nancy

Good morning, windy day in PoohVille here. I am so glad I didn't have my truck washed yesterday.

My face has been numb for about 4 days now and it is driving me crazy. I have been taking all my vitamins and it isn't letting up. I think it may be a sign to slow down.

Nancy I went to the store yesterday and stocked up on the cereal after reading your post. They had alot of good deals this week. I spent over 200 bucks but my cupboards are full.

Bizi, ya almost ran over me again. Slow down girl...here have a mojito and relax under this palm tree

Hi Jo, interesting article. I am going to go back and read some more of it. How have you been? Any vacation plans this summer?

When the rest get here hello to you too.

Billie and Anne only have 2 more days till they are tearing up the town on that golf cart. Watch out

Hi Barb(BF) hope your feeling better today...Sue

Heart Hi everybody~

I'm so late checking in today. This has been a mix up of a day for me. Pastor and wife came to help get a ceiling fan running for Gaye. It had to be taken apart and now only works on low. if I was Gaye, I would be afraid to sleep under it. LOL You might get your legs cut off.

Then we proceeded to fix the broken window. It can not be taken out. All but that window can. Think I am going to call a pro in to do it. In the mean time we all got hungry and not much in O'le Mother Hubbards cubard. A little this and that. Well we had rasberry jelly and bread and some ham, & rasberry tea. Doesn't that sound good? He fixed another fan and we quit. I am greatful for any help, but where did the day go? Anyway it's evening now and I feel like I have worked, but nothing went as planned. I'm going shopping earily morning, & start again. My ice maker is on the fritz and I don't know what happen to it. I am going to see if it fixes its self over night.
sleep tight!

WEll I went to a pack and paddle shop today to look at camping gear and the owner told me they were chigger bites!!!!

So much for camping!
I used bug spray but not enough I guess.
He said they will be around for a week or so...

Unhappy hi shelly...just found out myself....

Chiggers are different from other mites, in that they feed on humans and other animals only in the larval stage. The adults and nymphs feed on vegetable matter, insect eggs, and other insects.
When humans come in contact with infested grass or other vegetation, the chigger larvae get onto the skin and travel until they meet an obstacle like a waistband. At this point, they attach to the skin and begin to feed. After feeding for three to four days, the larvae drop off the body to continue their growth cycle. While feeding, the larvae secrete a fluid which causes intense itching. Within twenty-four hours of attachment, a reddened area up to one inch in diameter will appear, which may be accompanied by a blister. Continued itching is usually due to a delayed sensitivity reaction which may persist for several weeks.

UGH!!!!
just what I need

Ack thats sounds horrible. Lets pretend they are mosquito bites, less creepy than critters that travel on your body.

Hope it gets better

Thumbs up Hey Bizi~

I know all about ciggers. They are so small I doubt if you can see them with the human eye. They are just a speck. Sure can bother you though! We used to go berry picking and get them everywhere there is elestic on you, like your underwear. NEVER sit on the ground. You can get a roll on (about the size of an eye pencil that will help). Go to the drug store and they can help you. I don't remember the name of it. Good luck!
