Jo,
I haven't seen baby chicks forever and I adore them. Back in the "old days" my parents used to give us baby chicks every Easter. They would somehow "run away" when they got larger. Everything is so beautiful in your yard. Your grass is so green and lush. How much land do you have? Your pond looks to be a pretty good size. And, don't ya just love water fixtures? My husband is a crazy person when it comes to fountains - we got 'em big and small. There are 2 in the house and 3 in our tiny yard. He made one himself that turns into a fire pit in the colder months. Like I said, he's a crazy one, that man:-) Speaking of colder months - they seem far away this week. Will be between 110 - 115 today. Yikes!!!!!! I hope everyone has a fun and safe week-end. Love, Nancy-H |

Awwwww, I want a baby chick to cuddle. Had them when I was little and of course got them for our kids too. I've had pet hens that would sit in your lap!
Of course anybody that would love to be kissed by a camel would love baby chicks too. LOL Can't wait to see Niles the camel again this year at Christmas...want another sweet, soft lip, camel kiss. Jo your place looks so peaceful and nice. Enjoy. |

Thanks we love it too.
We have 2.5 acres- about half of it is our woods with fir trees. It's so weird to think back at how much smaller the trees were when I met hubby- but in 33 yrs they can really grow. Even back then there were 20 or so that were too big for me to put my arms around, they are doubled in size now. I got the pond bug in 99 while off work with my first repetitive strain injury. Went to a garage sale and they had a pump kit, preformed pond liner & an extra pump- got it all for 30 bucks. Since then I have been thru 3 smallish ponds until I found the Rubbermaid stock tanks at the feed store.
