This recent paper from Cell (a very high impact-factor journal) may be of interest to members who want to eat in a healthy way; http://www.cell.com/cell/pdf/S0092-8674(15)01481-6.pdf . There is a popular account of it here; http://www.nzherald.co.nz/lifestyle/...ectid=11549144 .
It makes the general point that there is a lot of variation between people in terms of how they respond to high GI (fast-release glucose) foods. In my view this stresses the importance of getting personalised help from a professionally-trained dietitian about eating in a healthy way.
