You will love Medicare. Eventhough I plan on going back to work, I am able to hang on to my Medicare because it is a chronic illness and I will need the coverage. This lasts about 8 1/2 years. Just make sure you have Part D and Supplemental Insurance because Part A and B covers only 80% of what you need and no meds. The Supplemental covers the last 20% and Part D is for meds.
The booklet is confusing but just relax and read it and you will see what I mean.
Enjoy!

Gaye,

Medicare can be handy. I wish I could afford supplemental insurance and it may be better to try to afford it. I just keep hoping my body will act right and not need the doc or procedures so often. That way I might, just might have a couple of dollars left over.

Sorry Gaye to go on about me. Wendy gave excellant advice. The Part D will help out to if you take your time to get the right company. I had Medicaid pick mine before they knocked me off.

Thanks Wendy and Barbra, we have A & B but we have BCBS ffederal program and it pays all of what medicare doesn't pay so our worries are much less now. Hubby never pays anything, we have a drug program too so that helps but we still have to ppay for the meds.

Now if someone can just find out why I get so dizzy still or else if it is the PCS maybe it will get well and go away. Hope so. Gaye

Heart Congrats Froggie~

I knew you would make it. Sorry I didn't make it in yesterday. I have been to Goodwill today. No dolls thought. I got a call in there, from Hospice, wanting me to come for training tomorrow. I am thrilled. I think I can do it gal's! Ever since they were so good with Bob and having cancer, I have said I would go to work for them. Well last week I got a letter inviting me, since its been a yr. since he passed. They said they would put me to work around where I live. This is volunteer work, so I would mostly be a friend to the family and visit. That don't sound so bad, does it? They are wonderful with patients and I want to help in anyway I can. Thats all the news I have for today.

Heart Thanks~

I hope I can live up to what you have said about me. This will be once a week, so not like a job. I think the rewards will be wonderful and just what I like to do. I do like people and age doesn't matter. I hope I can live up to and understand termal patients. All I have to go by is my husbands case. I care deeply for all of you.

Default You have to be a special person...

...to do this type of volunteer work and you have it, Missy Billie! You are a special person for sure.

I want to do some kind of volunteer work but I don't know what yet. A pink lady at the hospital that would read to patients maybe? I love books so that might be a good fit. If possible, I feel we should find a way to give back to the community that has served us well.

Love to all,
Nancy
