I think this is a very eye opening read on beans, pros and cons. Personally I'm coming to realize I've been over doing it on beans for the last couple yrs and my grandgirl is feeling this way too as she's "trying" not to eat animal protein...ummm...
This link is tucked in the RA post in the Arthritis group but thought it would be good info here too: http://www.jdmoyer.com/2011/02/15/to...-human-health/ For me in particular it's about the high lectins in most beans. I first heard of lectins from the Blood Type book back about 20 yrs ago. But lectins have come up recently and I'm getting more interested. |
