From my experience, you're right on track. You only want to gain about 25 pounds over the whole pregnancy. Pretty much anything over that will be yours to keep. By 3 months I generally gained two pounds. Most of the weight seems to come on in months 6 through 8. By the time you're in your ninth month, the baby is so big you don't have room to eat so much so my weight gain slowed at that point. Everybody is different and some gain more, some gain less. Some people retain more fluid while pregnant and their weight goes up even more. If you focus on eating healthy and keeping fit, you'll do just fine. Congrats! Carol |

hello and welcome,
i was going to say about 25 to 30 lbs. try to stay well hydrated, especially in the summer months. dehydration can cause signs of labor. if you're having trouble with nausea/vomiting i would see your OB. try to just eat healthy and include protein. congrats on your pregnancy. let us know how you are.
