donna...why don't you add some of the exercises you did at pt? maybe tomorrow? or any of the stretches they are having you do at home..if they are?

or you can get us all to do some relaxing breathing.

Well the relaxing breathing. Is very funny, in my case I am one that
has to stop and remember to breath.

I have this thing that when I'm in pain, I forget to breath.

My therapist favorite word is breath Donna breath.

Or remember: To smell the flowers and exhale the fresh air is what I think
he always tells me.

So its really been a lot of help.

I go to my sessions with my doctors, or my test.

And I catch myself breathing and telling myself to breath.

And then walking in stores

I'm saying, 1,2, 3 Breath in Donna 12, 34, Breath out donna

It has been one really good lesson on how I forget to breath when i'm in pain.

Donna

OK I was at PT today and they reminded me when sitting to imagine that imaginary thread at the top of my head and to pull to straighten my posture throughout the day. So come on pull on that thread and open up your chest and tighten those abs. Phew I am now sitting straight. Lets see how long that lasts.

as i sat there slumped with my elbows actually on my knees!!!!!! sooooooo bad for my already bad back.

i am sitting tall. ok...tall for me. shoulders back but relaxed.

hand stretches.

just spread your fingers. don't over stretch or pull. count to 3. relax. do each hand 5 x. this helps to relax your hands after typing.

Ok ready for a little quad stretch. Try not to fall down

Stand up from that chair with your back to the seat. Lift and lay the top of your foot onto the seat and and bend with your other knee. Ahhhh feel that stretch.

Lets do start with 5 on each side. Then flip that leg over and stretch those hamstrings.

Everyone is laughing at me in my office

leg lifts

either one leg at a time or both. do what you can do.

while sitting up straight..thank you shelley...abs tucked in...straighten legs out in front of you. make your feet go in little circles. gets the circulation going. hold 5 seconds. lower slowly. do 5 x.

this also helps work the abs.
