I've hardly gotten any rest last night because I'm so excited about starting my hospice crafts class today and having lunch out with an out of state cousin. Every time she is taking me out I get so excited and don't stay in bed long. I've been sticking to the WW program since Monday except for getting my daily water intake.

Barbara, tell us about your hospice class. Are you starting one of the programs? Is your friend doing about the same, the one with cancer? its good you and your cousin are going out to lunch. My cousin is planning to come tomorrow for lunch. I am always glad when we get together too!

I went to the eye Dr. this morning for a Glaucoma test. He says, he believes I am going to get it soon. I have to be tested often and will soon need a special test I haven't had so far. I have to go to another DR. for it.

Its cold this morning. As soon as it warms up, I am going to hunt for my sweatshirts. It got down to 43 last night. I don't know about you, but I am dreading winter.

billie, my dad has glaucoma. has had it for years and years. the meds for it really keep it in control. he hasn't had any problems.

i don't mind the winter. we don't get the cold for long periods like you do. i love the fall. so nice to get outside and enjoy a walk.

Mornin' All! Back when I was working, we all called Wednesdays "Hump Day" because, of course, it was the middle of the week. We all felt if we could get over the Hump, we were on our way to the week-end. Now, it makes no difference to me. For a while this morning, I thought today was Monday!

Billie and Barbara; I commend your involvement is hospice. If I had feet I could count on, and could get involved with something, I'd like to try it. But I question whether or not I could take it, emotionally. So my hat is off to you both as you are doing a much needed service. Oh, enjoy your visits with your cousins.

This week we are still going to hit the 100's. Next week we will finally "cool off" and get down to the 90's. I am so glad the hot, hot is going away.

I'm feeling a little better. I can be up and working around the house for a few hours before I get exhausted. And I am drinking water, sip, more each day, burp.

I just found out that I've been driving around since June with no insurance coverage on my car!!!

Somehow i totally missed seeing the bill and the online email notice and the cancellation notice!!
I really don't think I was the one that messed up - but maybe?

We have been with same agent/ins co for a long time - how could they not call and verify that we wanted to drop a policy???
anyway been tracking down info, bank statements and writing a letter to my agent this morning.
got the office gal to write a new policy but cost is 100.00... more every 6 months than it was before.
So asking agent if she can intervene and get cost back where it was - and why no call to us to verify cancellation??

Jo, that is ashame about your insurance expiring.

Today in my hospice crafts class we decorated miniture brooms with tiny leaves and ribbons and such for the hospice patients to celebrate Halloween. I did a terrible job and only got one done in the whole hour I was there. I though I'd pass out in class so I had to go to kitchen and eat a snack there. Next month we'll do Thanksgiving cards which is right up my alley except on the computer.

Nancy, I couldn't do this either if I hadn't been threw this with my own husband. I actually have the time and its nice to be able to help someone else with what I've been threw myself. I am actually helping the wife by giving her free time to do what she she may want. I hope I don't have to take action for the patient, but pray I can, if need be. Nancy, some of the jobs are in the hospice office. There is a lot of paper work to be done.

Barb, I am sure you are doing fine. Keep up the good work.
