oops....i'm checking in.

i had a busy day with clients yesterday. whew. wore me out. in a good way.

last night was goodwill's 1/2 off midnight sale. i got an almost new bike for grandmonkey. $5. still had the new nubby things on the tires. he is soooo excited. an early birthday gift. he will be 6 on tuesday.

lil'monkey had bought a pair of gap capri's for $2. they ended up being a bit big for her. so just for kicks i tried them on. they were tight, but i could still breathe. a size 7/8. i think i'll keep them as inspiration.

losing some of the weight has really helped my back. still having edema problems off and on. not as bad a few weeks ago.

having 0 junk in the house was hard at first. more on the kids than me. but if it's there...i'll grab it and snack. fruit, yogurt, nuts and always having lots of choices of drinks has really helped.

i am using an empty apple juice bottle that holds 96oz for my water daily. that way on know exactly where i am at in water(plain) for the day. some days, if if i have more tea or the cyrstal light type of drinks i may not drink the whole thing. pretty close.

ty bizi for the weekend check in.

i hope everyone has a pain free, stress free healthy weekend.

My hubby uses those apple juice bottles to take water to work- he doesn't like the city water they have at work.

I hope I can get inspired to do something soon. I've been down in the dumps with Gaye being sick.

Default Painful Week-end

I just want to scream, "Go Away !!!" - I hate to be a whiner & complainer but the past 30 days or so have me crazy with pain. For every 2 good days I have 3-4 bad ones. The only benefit? When the pain levels are high, my desire for food is gone. I would gladly exchange the weight I've lost for the pain to go away. I hope that I have good luck with the Spinal Cord Stimulator and not the bad luck that poor Billie had. Anyway, I've about had it with pain!

Bizi - The last I heard from Jan, everything was going good for her. She had a busy but fun summer.

Billie honey - try to Cheer Up! Maybe Gaye is busy but the rest of us are here for you~ Did you feel the hug???

Hi Jo - Having a good week-end? Doing fun things or home things?

Curious - Size 7/8???? Just the right size for a little monkey woman :-) I know what you mean about keeping clothing for inspiration. I have a skirt and a pantsuit that are brand new and will fit when the next 15 lbs. or so go away. I'm feel dumb to ask this but what kind of clients do you have. I don't know what you do but it sounds stressful.

Love to all~
Nancy

Nancy, I am so sorry you are in pain. There's nothing worse than that! I do hope you have good luck with the stimulator. It is two surgeries. You have to have the trial one first, then the permanent one put in.

I too am in pain, and haven't slept well for two nights. This Ohio Buckeye tree, in my yard, has buckeye's falling off like crazy. They are all over my yard and the sidewalk, even in the street. They are about the size of a walnut, so to mow they have to be picked up. I have a notion to see if I can hire someone to pick them up. With my fusions, it is hard to bend down to the ground to get them. This morning, I didn't even feel like going to church. Me and the heating pad are becoming good friends again.

Barbara, I am so sorry to hear the news about Doug. It doesn't sound like he will be around much longer. My patient isn't doing well either. He was in the hospital bed Friday and his heart isn't beating right. His heart actually stops, then kicks back in after about a minute. His wife says, that will be what kills him. One day it just won't fire back up. He is a big o'le teddy bear and I really care for him. He's no trouble to take care of at all.

Well its lunch time, so better eat. Yes, Nancy I feel the hug! Here's one for you too.

Hi everyone, I have been lurking around but thought I would stop and say hi. I have been hurting too lately. My head feels like it wants to explode and my back is wanting to join it. Hopefully this will pass soon.

Sorry to hear that others are hurting also. Lets hope we all turn a corner soon.

BF- I read about them not letting Doug have anything to drink and I think that is terrible. If he is terminal they should give him whatever he wants. That is why I always encourage hospice because when my BIL was dying they gave him whatever he wanted and whenever he wanted it. Are there any hospices in your area rather than having hospice come to his apartment since that didn't work out too well with the nurses coming. We were even allowed to stay with him 24 hours a day as their was a sofa that made into a bed. Hang in there Barb and don't forget to take care of you.

Well my time here at the puter is over as my back is saying enough so I will talk to ya all later on. Feel better everyone...Sue

Ive been around. Just haven't been in the mood to post that I'm still gaining and not losing. I can't seem to get to the point that I can lose, since we don't know why I'm gaining.

Anyway, I am having the roughest of times right now. Trying to keep from passing out. And I even made a fool of myself yesterday when I was supposed to be helping one of my co-workers at a training.

I was doing my part of the presentation, and I just had to leave and let her take over. I all the sudden couldn't see the screen, or the laptop to continue the reading and trying to explain the information I was trying to
do. My specialty has always been the transition from school to adulthood.

But yesterday it was being the one that looked like a idiot.

But at least I was being taken care of by the group we were presenting for.
So we didn't get a bad reputation. Some of the people in charge came into
the restroom to see if I was okay.

And to offer to pray with me, they are a church related foster parent training group.
