Good morning to you. It's only 4:30 a.m. here but I got up for water and ended up starting the dishwasher, then layed out stuff for coffee and decided to check in.

i'm downing 2 excedrine migraine pills with a cuppa java. that should kick it in the butt.

no exercise for me. i am going to start sewing bears today. lots of water.

we got flodded yesterday. very grey today here too alffe.

oh curious i saw the weather and thought of you guys....

thanks bizi. even some golfers had to rescued. it was crazy how fast the water came up.

What a time I am having with my 23 yr. old son. Some of you know that my youngest son suffers from mental illness and part of that is explosive anger disorder. It's scary. He also has learning disabilities. School was a nightmare for him/us. He has good times and bad times. We are in a bad time.

He is pushing all my buttons but this time, this time it's different because my ex-husband and I are in sync and and we are both telling him the same things, (no more money from us, get a job, keep a roof over your head and food on the table before spending money on school, you must see a dr. and take your meds and see a therapist).

To take care of me and my husband, I read the manual to our phone and we can press this "Do not Disturb" button and our calls automatically go to our machine and when the machine answers calls in this mode, it is silent. You can't hear callers leaving their message. So we have no phone disturbances when we are trying to sleep.

We also got an ADT (bottom of the line) home security system, which we wanted anyway because we do some travel.

So my son is being forced to be a man and I hope he makes it. He has had problems with depression and anger management his entire life. While it is absolutely killing me to know that he may be homeless because he just decided not to pay rent, he has to learn.

So that's whats been up with me and this time, I'm eating junk so I must stop that NOW!

((((nancy-h)))) I so admire you for trying this tough love approach and I can only appreciate how hard it is. They are our children and have our unconditional love even when we have to close the door.

I'm here! Nancy, I can sympathize with you. I'm just on the other end, where its to late to do anything about it. I don't know anything we could of done either. He has never grown up and probably won't. My heart is broke about every time I get a letter from him. I got one today and without my hubby to talk to, I feel I can't even vent. I wish I could say, I don't care, but I can't. Sometimes there is no good answer. Stay strong!

Oh Nancy, many hugs and God bless you. I know you are horribly stressed and I am so sorry. They say children walk on our toes when they are little and then on our hearts when grown. I am afraid that is so true, at times.
We have had to tell one of our kids...no more money...it was hard but they are old enough to stand on their own.
