Default Thursday the 1st, roll call

Hi all,

My mother board on my XP is all shot to you know what. I just about went crazy without a computer so I went out and bought one. It's really going to cut me short for quite some time I'm sure. Btw, I was without a computer for 2 whole weeks. I did go to the library and to a neighbor's house to use a computer but that was only once in a while for no longer than an hour.

I'm getting bigger these days and I hate it. I seem to have gotten in the habit of all the wrong foods like lots of bacon and spare ribs.

How is everyone else doing? Billie, how is your job going? Hi to Gaye, Sue, Wendy, and everyone else I haven't mentioned. Billie, once a month I do volunteer work for hospice making crafts for their clients. It always has something to do with the upcoming Holidays.

Heart HI~

Barbara, it is so good to hear from you. I have been wondering what had happen to you. We all have those "putter" problems sooner or later. I do have lap top but not to crazy about it and mine works off the bigger one. I don't have a phone plug in for mine. I had my phones taken out and just use a cell anymore. its just me, so it works great. Glad to hear your still with Hospice. Me too! I see one patient a week and go to meetings at night, once a month. So far its ok and interesting.

Hope everyone has a good day. I may see if I can get a flu shot today.
Hugs, Billie

Default Good Morning.

Barbara - I was just thinking about you yesterday wondering if we should start looking for you!

ALL - I got some very bad news. My best friend's husband has been fighting cancer of the larynx for a couple of years. He found out yesterday he only has days to live. Hospice has been called in. I asked my friend if she needed me to come (she is in Salt Lake) and she said "No, but thank you." So at this point, should I just wait until he is gone or should I send her a daily e-mail. (She HATES the phone.)

Advise please.

Love ya,
Nancy

Been busy with work...but things are okay. I am dealing with stuff and Todd had to go and mention my weight in the middle of the night...AGAIN!
Why when he does it, it feels like he is attacking me?

Hi Wendy,

I missed you. I was just thinking about you, too, and you popped up. It's hard when our spouses criticize because we love them and we want to please them. Do you tell him that he is only making it worse?

Nancy

i think we should make our men try and dress in women's stylish clothes for a day. see what THEIR butt's look like in low rise jeans. see if their underwear show if they bend over.

and who named them lovehandles?

i really hate the "you would act so much happier if you lost weight. i know how much it bothers you"

mega hugs wendy.

Nancy,
If she hates phone calls - I think a daily email or even more often, then she can read them at her own time & pace.
It will give her a distraction too, add some stories and talk about other things as well as care and support.

email and follow up with snail mail.

i know from being with my brother when he passed away, having less people there was better for us. no one ever felt like they had to be strong or "entertain"...whether that meant small talk...or getting someone a cup of coffee.

but after....she might be ready for you to be there nancy.

i'm sorry i missed this earlier. sending lots of prayers.
