it's down to 97 today, at least that's what it's supposed to be.
then by wed it's going to be about 88. a cold snap!

my parents really got a kick out of it.

my weight is stable.
i've actually been walking most days, even the day after surgery when i got home. not going to let my walking go. i've got to stay on my feet. now my "speed" is up some. i'm back to my 8 min's. even did 9 today.

goal is for every day this month.
i hope to make my radiation appt for about 1100. you're supposed to get very tired on radiation tx's. my plan is to walk in the am before i go. i've been told by others that the fatigue kicks in by about 2 wks. oh joy. even more tired than i yam now

i wonder why my body got cancer. they said i wouldn't be a candidate for genetic testing. i don't remember why. Q for the oncologist. making a list.
and i can't help but wonder what my %'s are for it's return. higher than if i didn't have it in the first place. but, i have to put that out of my mind. that's the future and we all know we can only live in the here and now.

Aw, dear Judy, don't go to the "why?" place, you'll drive yourself crazier. I'd bet I've spent a cumulative 3+ years of my lifetime trying to figure out why certain things have happened and the only conclusion I've ever reached is that it's just not for me to know. You have such a tough spirit, please use that energy to keep going forward; getting mired down in the unsolvable mysteries of this life is tantamount to robbing yourself.

I'm so proud of you for keeping the walking up! That's fantastic and it can only help you.

Hey Judy! Nope, no camping last wkend, as it was just too hot. But, we are going again this Thurs - Sun and then back out again on Wed, as we have some friends coming. Today is supposesd to be our hottest day so far this summer. I still can't make myself complain, since I complained all Winter.

I am proud of you for walking esp when you could easily make excuses not to. That is our Animal and Iron Will. I agree w/Cin (don't tell her) in that you shouldn't worry about the what if's or why's. I probably do that enough for both of us. You just need to concentrate on healing and getting through the round of radiation coming up.

I just know you will triumph through it all. We are in your corner Oh Inspiring One.

Anne (Koala) was on vacation and she's back now, so don't worry about the cogfog; we all battle that from time to time.

Hey Judy, I agree with Cin and DM. The what if's will just make you looney. Just take one day at a time and rest. A song I really like to listen to when I'm feeling down and questioning life is "Let It Be." It really helps put things into perspective, for me anyway.

my brother has been asked by one of the head honchos in Nashville (HCA hospitals, their headquarters) to do 2 90 min speaking engagements in Oct about his book!!! funny, my dad died in one of their hospitals in fla. boy, what goes around, comes around. i know for the better. hugs to TheBrother

That's good, dear Judy, we only get these days one at a time, how we use them —and in what frame of mind— is up to each of us.

I sure hope the pain lets up so you can get some rest. The world is just a better place when we can get enough sleep.

Yay, Bart! It was good of them to give him a decent amount of time, those 30-minute blocks are like a panic attack to get all the points made.

Good morning Judy~ Hope you were able to get some quality rest last night. That's so key to your healing both physically and emotionally. I agree, a wandering mind can mean trouble for me, too.

I tend to be a person that needs reassurance in alot of things. Reality slaps me in the face and tells me different, but like AMN said, we can have days like that.

Keep your spirits up and forge ahead. The worst is now behind you.

Just dropping in to say I check up on you near daily. So glad to see continued progress. Sad to know there are some minor bumps along the road. What ifs aren't worth valuable time and discomfort will slowly fade away. You keep taking care of you and I'll keep praying and sending gentle hugs.

i'm having some pain, mostly in the Lt side. it's all yellow now from the bruising healing so i'm sure that's it. it can only get better from here.
