thanks DM. i'm sure i will. about 0230.

i fell asleep in my chair again. RATS! at least awake at 0030 instead of 0230.
but i'm tired so i'm going to bed after this post.

weight stable.
i did walk this am.

i went in to talk to the apt mgr again. we had a good talk. i'm trying to see things from her point of view and she mine. i promised personal confidentiality if she tells me anything.

what she said is that she could guarantee me only at $37/mo increase which is very, very good. i can get my carpet cleaned. i can stay in my old apt one more yr but then the comp will require i change apts so they can finish the remodeling. she assures me that things will change for the better. with the rents going up etc they hope to get a better clientele in here. they're going to paint and redo the carpets and clean the garage etc. in 60 mo i should notice a big difference.

they're redoing the pool area and adding a small waterfall and a hot tub. i won't use a communal hot tub (unless AMN is with me :D) because of health concerns. but being in the shade by the pool and the waterfall sounds nice.

anyway. things sound like they will even out. at least she was honest with me. i could get a remodeled 2 br for 1200 sq ft. that sounds divine to me. extra room for just a bit more on the rent. i'm thinking about it. i'll have to pay the $$ to move from this apt in a yr anyway. maybe i should do it now.

hmmmm.

anyway, i'm off to bed. see ya's later.

Judy, it almost sounds like you should just go ahead and move. You'll get the newest apartment that way. What if in a year the only ones left are lived in apartments and no two bedrooms? Since it's close, very close, what the heck? :-)

NurseNancy 04-30-2008 07:34 PM

yes sandy, it's appealing.
and the price on the 2 was much lower than usual.
in fact, close to what this 1 br will be in sept.

it's in another bldg but it's attached to mine.
uh, decisions, decisions. i'll have to decide fast. but i won't be pressured.

So, how we doing today, kids?

SandyC 05-01-2008 10:01 AM

Jim and I are heading out to get some groceries and lawn stuff. I am flustered because my huge evergreen has to cut down. It's dying. What to do? I have a landsaper coming next Tuesday to give me a quote. The left over is a huge job and too big for little ol' me. Why is it when I save money someone comes by to take it away?

BUT, my weight is stable.

NurseNancy 05-01-2008 07:44 PM

rats on the tree sandy.
but thumbs up on the weight.

i guess that's what saving is for. :(

i'm fine.
it turned out i was out ALL day and up since 0730. really long day.
i went to get my pneumonia shot and my 6 wk labs.
then i went to lunch.
then i got my massage and was soooo bad that we ended up doing 1 1/2hrs.

i came home and was going to nap but called my dermatologist to check a pain in my buttocks which are not so skinny. right at the coccyx. how do you spell that anyway?

this pain has been getting worse over time. i've chalked it up to excessive sitting but (no pun intended) it's becoming very painful even when i've been up. i sit on a gel cushion but that's not helping. i'm going to try an air cushion.

anyway i wanted it looked at to make sure there wasn't an infection and there isn't. you can't see anything on my skin. so i got home at 1700 and ate.

oh, ps...my BP was 120/80!
BS's ok. just need to lose 20lbs.
:D

DM 05-02-2008 09:06 AM

I was just thinking, Why is Judy going to the dermatologist for a pain in the bu++??? Sounds like you had a busy day, Missy!! Just take good care of yourself cuz you are special to us all. I need a massage, but my "inconsiderate" MT had the GAUL to get her gallbladder out!! HMPFFFF!

Get it? Gaul--- gallbladder?? :D Ka- rackin myself up! :D

Sandy~ we had to have a once magnificent Oak cut down in our front yard last yr. It broke our hearts, as watched it grow and flourish, but it started to develop dead branches and they were breaking off and some were looming over our house. It was not to be saved. We had to pay a tree service to cut it down and then another guy to come and take the root out.

DH hauled dirt in, seeded it and you would never know there was once a huge tree there. *except for our memories*

Good going for the stable wt. I am up a couple of #'s, but I just was not very active this past winter. I work on it later! :D

Have a good wkend everyone!! :grouphug:

SandyC 05-02-2008 09:51 AM

Thanks everyone. I cancelled the landscaper for Tuesday because my neighbors told me they do crappy work. So, I have a call into another guy for this Saturday who came highly recommended. I have to do something where this evergreen is. Well, I don't HAVE to but we want to is more like it. Everyone is the neighborhood is mourning this tree's death. We may need to have a memorial service for it. haha! Not to mention the birds who have made it their home. It will be cut down sometime next week.

Guess what? I lost another pound! I think it's because I am more active outside and the fact that I gave up my sweet tea and daily sweets. Honestly, I must have drank at least a half gallon of that stuff a day. I don't even miss it. Wow. No wonder my trigs were so high. I am excited to see what they are this month when I see the doctor. I hated hearing him say I am borderline diabetic. I am going to prove him wrong! Now, what to do about my memory...lol

Judy, congrats on the bp! Whoooohoo! Also glad to hear the booty area is clear. Jim hates when his hurts because he knows I go into booty patrol! lol

Looking good, everybody.

Sandy, are there any privately owned campgrounds within 50 miles of you? If it's a big tree, you might find a campground owner who would gladly come, fell it, log it, and haul the wood away in trade. Then, all you'd have left is to hire a stumpgrinder and a lawn fixerupper guy.

SandyC 05-02-2008 12:15 PM

That's a great idea Cindy. Our association has many campground bonfires. I wonder if they would be interested? There are other campgrounds close to here too. The guys coming this week are doing it for $265.00, cut, clean up and stump grinding. I think that's reasonable considering the tree is at least 20 feet high. But, I will ask around before they get here.
