Wink don't be scared...FRI 13th ROLL CALL

no ladders to walk under..ok..so don't do like me and miss the last step and mess up your foot.

any black cats...just walk around them on your walk today.

sorry so late for a roll call. i had my foot propped up and not online.

no exercise for me. no inversian table. i will do some arm workout with some hand weights. not much, since these crutches are bothering me. guess i need to adjust them.

water water. that is my plan.

a healthy day to all.

Morning
I hope everyone else is having a good day. I am in a horrible mood. I tried going to Wal Mart ran into several people I went to high school with and now feel awful about myself. I am fat and disabled with no life. They all look like they just came from the salon and have young families.
I am getting worse with my physical problems and am not handling becoming more disabled well at all. Part of me wants to move to where I don't know anyone but that is not going to change all the things I can't do or decrease my pain.
Ofcourse the lady who comes in to sit with my Mother in law a few days a week just was telling her that the world is going to end because her flower is blooming and it is fall. So guess I shouldn't worry about not being able to walk. Sorry that is my pet peeve. My Dad was sure he knew the world was going to end when I was a kid so no point in treating my scolosis..opps. There are times I get so mad at what they could have done to keep me from being so disabled and didn't.
See what I mean about being in a bad mood. The epidural has had my hormones all mixed up so maybe it it is just PMS I wanna cry, scream and yell all at the same time. Oh yeah and I want to EAT lol.

hi mrsq.

did you know we have a caregivers forum? and an altzheimers one? jojo( i forgot what numbers are behind her name ) was a caregiver to her mother with altz and now to her MIL with atlz. i think she would be a good support person for you. not that we are here, but she really will understand how you are feeling first hand.

those hormones going wacky are not fun! emotional rollercoaster. that doesn't help with wanting to eat and eat either. does it feel like eating is the only thing you can control? even if it is over eating, you are controling it. kwim?

just keep posting hon. one baby step at a time. gentle (((( hugs))))

Wow Jan, glad you are back. I love the frog!

I can be a cheerleader again. I lost a pound. OK, so that is NOT much but at least I lost one and did not gain...like I thought I had. Never mind that I WAS down to 204 a month ago but according to the docs scale I have lost a pound!

Maybe with my new RX of cymbalta I will feel better, depression and pain just might get some better. I hope, I hole, I hope......

Please MrsQ, feel better soon! {{{{{{{{HUGS}}}}}}}}

JAN NEEDS A {{{{{{{{{{HUG}}}}}}}}}} TOO

AND {{{{{{{{{{BILLIE}}}}}}}}}}

Ok {{{{{{{{{{EVERYBODY NEEDS A HUG}}}}}}}}}} Gaye

Default Finally made it...

This morning my hubby went to the town across the border in Utah that is quite large and has all the shopping. It was time to make a Costco run. I didn't go along this time because I just wasn't up to it. So, MrsQ, I understand what it's like when the disability just gets ya down. We all have our moments and we work through them together - that's why we get so close!

I told my hubby last night that the six pounds I've lost looks like the most I'm going to loose. And, I'm frustrated by being frustrated by it!!!! So, I need to accept who I am and enjoy life when possible. I think I'm happy a lot more than I remember 'cause the bad days are just SO bad. I'm going to keep on trying to loose weight but it's not going to be the focus of my life. It's going to be an a part of my life just because it's healthier. Curious - water would be a good thing for me to concentrate on, I know I don't drink enough.

Gaye - thanks for the hugs. My doc increased my Cymbalta to 90 mgs. I don't know about the pain yet but it has really made me feel stronger and more focused. My memory still sucks, however.

Great cheer LS - hope you are getting back to your old wonderful self! That frog is so damn cute!

Hope some of the others sign on today too. Have a great day, all.

Love ya,
Nancy

Oh I went out to lunch with three of my neices and their mom today and pigged out. Mr.Alfee is draining and cleaning the hot tub...went to get new filters for it and then will fill it. I don't think it will heat up fast enough for the grandkids to get in it tomorrow night....we'll see.

Nancy I so agree with you about losing weight being the focus of our lives.
I mean I'd like to lose 20 lbs but not badly enough to give up starches.

hiya nancy

here are a few little tricks to add water daily. heheh..sounds like i'm nurturing a plant.

have disposable 6-8 oz cups in your bathroom. always drink a cup of water before brushing your teeth.

add ice to cold drinks. don't drink from a can or bottle.

order water when you go out to eat. even fast food! water with meals at home too. not only will you add the water you need, but cut calories.

if you are worried about not getting the amount of water you need daily, try putting your daily need in 2 small jugs in the fridge. finish up one by the time your day is 1/2 over.

not everyone has the same need for water. i like to drink a gallon a day. i feel better. my skin is plumped. refreshed looking. it helps me not feel sluggish...like i know i have flushed out toxins.

try starting with a lower amount. like 6 - 8oz cups a day. ( that includes ice too ) work your way up to what works best for you.

Thumbs up Good Afternoon to All~

I was going to come in this morning but I have a hair app. one didn't what to be late for it. You'll be glad to know I did finally go to the Dr. this afternoon. He gave me a stomach nerve pill. I've only had one, but I just rested after that. I just don't feel good tho. He too thinks I have to much on my plate. I told him I just can't help it, somebody has to do what I am doing.

Nothing exciting going on here. I can't even talk the dog into going outside all day. I hope I don't fine a mess someplace.

Gaye I take Cymbalta and have for a year. The Drs. I have now want me on Neurontin, I did try it, but quickly changed back. It can be give for depression but also for Neuropathy too. I
it's ok compared to Neurontin. I can't tell other wise till I go off it.

Well it frosted last night, so it will be the end of good weather I susppose. At least the sun in shining. I gotta get supper, my cats are telling me so.
Talk to you later.
Billie

I am checking in a little late.
Great suggestions for the increased water intake.
Dieting can be an obcession...you guys are right...somehow we must take our focus off that and jsut learn moderation...I think it is about portions as well. I have a terrific appetite...I need to learn to eat less at any one sitting.
anyway....eating a whole pound of chicken...isn't moderation....
I hope that the weather is nice for you this weekend....it is a festival weekend here....weather is 70-80's.
