Default Lyrica

Has anyone stopped taking Lyrica after being on it for quite a long time? Did you gain weight when you went on it? If so, did you loose weight when you stopped it?

I gained over 20 lbs. when I started Lyrica and I am going to talk to my pain doc about discontinuing it. I hope I loose the weight I gained.

What do you think?

That drug is the sister drug of Neurontin and it did the same to me. I gained 50 pounds and I still have it on me.
Good luck with getting the pounds off.

Hi Nancy, tried to call you but it said wrong #.

I took Lyrica and gained 20 lbs or more. My legs swelled, the rt leg double it's size and it effected my eyesight in my eye with the catarah in it. Almost had cataract surgery because of it. Went off the lyrica about a month ago I think (short term memory messed up) now my eyesight is fine. Have to admitt it did help my pain.
How is your Son? Glad you are getting a grandbaby! Gaye

So it looks like once the weight is on, it's on and stopping the drug doesn't help the weight loss effort.

Wendy - good to hear from you! Still working? How are you feeling?

Thanks all,
Nancy

I'm okay....just moved from an apartment to a rented house and loving it!
Unforutnately my rosacea has decided to make an appearance. You all remember that lovely picture from a couple of years ago.
I guess the change in the water has made it appear.
So here I am all red and breaking out.
I look wonderful!
