Arrow Healthy Snacks Thread.

no...don't eat the thread. good fiber...but yuck.

add a few frozen pieces of fruit like strawberries or peaches to tall glass of cold diet soda or tea.

a cool pick me up with a nutritious treat.

like i said on the other thread, make your snack or meal a pretty presentation for that added mental boost. it will put a smile on your face.

let's be healthy inside and out.

use raw veggies slices instead of chips or crackers with dips and low fat cheese.

ones that work well:
zuccini
cucumber
carrots
celery
yellow squash
radishes
lettuce leaves

spread a small amount of the dip instead of dipping. that way you know how much you have eaten. a tablesppon goes a long way.

ever eaten cabbage cold with a dip? - not bad at all unless you hate cabbage

My little lettuce plants are peeking thru the ground finally
I planted a few varieties in the flower bed along the retaining wall by the patio
, easier to get to and use, without having to trek thru the garden
plus garden soil is too wet to work still.

I LOVE raw cabbage Jo, but never thought of "dipping" it. Thanks for the ideas Curious and Jo.

raw cabbage leaves make great roll ups. don't rip as easy like lettuce does. sure saves on the bread carbs.

but beware of using the purple cabbage...unless you want purple lips.

cabbage yummy... never thought of using that instead of bread... hmm...

may try the purple too.. then i won't have to use lipstick...

Lately my sweet tooth has gotten out of control... so I've decided to try fresh fruits with plain or vanilla yogurt. Off to the store tomorrow or Thursday....

Any other ideas b4 I go will be wonderful...

Hopefully that will cut the cravings for the junk.
