went grocery shopping and came home and was able to sleep for a couple of hrs.

i've even been going to bed a bit early. that's a good thing.
BB is still burning but a bit better today from even this am.

another wk is coming to an end.
i can't wait.

It's closer than ever. It seems to have flown by but I know to you it's been a long long ride. You are truly an inspiration to all of us Judy and we love you too.

FOUR, FOUR...

geesh, my breast hurts so bad today that i've got chills. going to talk to the dr tomorrow before the wk/e. i feel like turning the heat on. ME! ???

otherwise been a quiet day. i had my massage today. a couple days early. my therapist has big BD plans over the wk/e. too bad the weather is going to be so bad.

came home and napped.
i took the ground beef out of the freezer. this wk/e is the one to make the big pot of chili and freeze it. i'm staying in both days.

my cousins in clearwater just invited me for thanksgiving. i'd love to go but the thought of traveling when it will be so busy and crowded gives me the creeps. but i should go. i should get away and be with my family. i'm sure by then i'll be feeling much better. i've got thinking to do.

3, 3, 3 DAYS LEFT...

the dr said there's nothing more we could do topically for the pain of the burn. he did give me a Rx for percoset. i just took and i'm going to lay down.
i've got a little burn blister at the top of BB and there's some skin breakdown under BB. i'm whining, so thanks for listening.

but, i'm home and will be staying in the entire wk/e and doing things around the apt, including the chili. think i'll do that on game day. GO BRONCO'S!

the weather's going to H in a handbasket. rainy and cold predicted and clearing next wk. the porch is done and the guys will come tomorrow to put the furniture back on the patio. great guys to do that for me.

i'm going to see if they would move my couch down a few feet. then i can change the furniture a bit to open up the room more. a small change will do me great.

saturday and the liv'in is easy.
i overdid yesterday so i'm taking it easy today.

the pain meds really worked so i did a bit too much in the apt.
back to ultram today tho.

BB is down to a dull roar.

and guess what?! i'm going to fla for thanksgiving.
my clearwater family invited me and i just booked a flight and poof...
i'm going tues to tues. i'm saying a prayer that the weather here will be ok, no snowstorms and that there will be no hurricanes there.

i'm going to pack lite too but no carry on. the flight was a bit expensive, heck fla in the winter, but i deserve a break.

The trip sounds like just what you need Judy! Florida in the winter cold...ahhhh, I can feel the breezes aready.

i can feel the freedom now.

if i could just get underneath my breast to heal. have to talk to the dr on monday. it feels better with the burn cream. without it it's just raw. yet my nursing tells me if it's always moist, well that isn't good either.

it's so nice to be able to complain to you guys.
not that i'm not +, but it's nice not to always have to be.

Judy, when Jim gets a little chafing on his bumm we always thought drying it out helped too and it does in some circumstances such as areas where they are exposed to air. But for those areas not exposed like the bumm or under your breast it may get too dry and crack open. This happened to Jim last year and once it opened it was at a stage 3.

So, this is what I am doing and it works for us. We went out and bought Vitamin A&D ointment. I also use a rx skin protector cream that keeps moisture away on areas that aren't compromised. I apply a small amount of the A&D to a non stick bandage with adhesive already on the bandage (Curad makes them). It has made a world of difference on his bumm and area that looks like it may breakdown. I don't know if that's what your doing already but thought I would share what we do. Also, maybe you could raise up your breast to air it out while your resting or napping? You could use your bra and pull it up to where the area is exposed or use some tape to hold it up while your laying down? Of course this all depends on how large your breast are. Shoot I am just a wheetle 34B. lol

Whatever you try I hope it heals soon for you. I know it has to be painful and annoying.

will read the paper over the day. can't sit too long.
i'm going to take a nap too.

sandy, your comments brought this to mind.
when i was working in ICU in Fl we had a woman in respiratory distress.
she had the largest breasts i'd ever seen.

to help her breathe we wrapped a sheet around each one and suspended them from an IV pole. now that's innovation, and very technical too.
