you guys are tooooo much! LOL

hey! i'm baaaaack!
there's no was i could have put that desk together let alone even open the box and pull it all out of there.

the guy was really nice, big, strong and tall...oh...that's another topic.
the only thing i miss is the little drawer i had on my old desk. i'll go and find a little container of sorts to hold things.

the pull out try for the keyboard is great. i'm even trying to use my expensive office chair. so far so good. the only thing that i need to get is a longer cable. the one from the puter to the keyboard. it's too short now. cindy...do i have to go to the apple store or does a place like Best Buy have those. don't want to chance hurting the computer. the apple store is in the mall. a big hassle but i could do it.

oh, and listen to this. the guy was so nice. he moved my file cabinet closer to the wall with my copier AND he showed me how to fix the chair! the dining chair with the seat that fell off. he rescrewed it on with an allen wrench with a handle on it and gave it to me. now i can tighten the others before they fall off. he even took the big box away which they told me i had to do. i gave him a nice tip.

then i went to the grocery store. it was only 80 degrees. supposed to be 90. i didn't want to go but needed stuff and i won't go on the wk/e. now i'm going to take a nap. pain much better from my yesterday massage. she's on vacation next wk so i have to miss a wk. i should be crawling there by my next appt.

tomorrow i see Lenora for brunch.
and monday i see the neurosurgeon about my discs.
i moved up my sept neuro appt for this month. i have to talk to him about my muscles and this pain and i'm not leaving til i get a plan of action!

well this is long enuf so i'll be back later and talk about my "friend" Rich.

i had a nice brkfst with lenora today.
but, her dh might be very sick. they'll find out the details this wk.
his colonoscopy was very abnormal. he will probably need surgery but he's a very poor surgical risk. he had surgery for a dissecting aortic aneurysm a few yrs ago and he's in fragile health.

but, if they don't do anything he'll get a bowel obstruction and die.
i feel so bad for her. they don't deserve this. they've been thru so much and they're both such good people. she's not telling him (he requested that) til the dr talks to them so she's holding it all in.

i so wish i could help. i told her if/when he has surgery i'll come to the hospital and sit with her and she accepted. that makes me feel good because she's a stoic kind of woman.

then i ran some errands. i got the USB extension cable and it's perfect.
while i was there i saw a bookcase that matches the desk. didn't notice that when i was there before. i didn't get it but i'm thinking about it. it would also hold my copier/fax machine and i could move my file cabinet.

are you guys bored yet? i'm ranting. tomorrow i'm in. just going to relax.

Hi Judy,

Im sorry to hear about your friend's dh. Im glad she accepted your
offer of company as I am sure it will help. You are a good friend.

This week, along with entertaining all the little munchkins at my house, I
am packing to go to the Cape for the week. We leave on Saturday and
probably will come home next friday.

Wish me luck as we have rented a brand new duplex. My family is on one
side and my db, dsil, dniece and my two parents on the other. whew...
it ought to be wild.

So if I dont check back everyone keep on rockin.................

"See" you in a couple of weeks.

oh sox...the cape! ahhhh, sounds wonderful.
please tell me about the location etc. i've never been there. have a great time.

i saw the neurosurgeon today. he said my neck is still stable enuf for no surgery. yay

about my back, he recommended the my pain dr (the one that has done the steroid injections) so an ablation on one of the facets. to block the nerve. i have to get more information about this before i consent. he'll send his report to him. and, i requested a copy of his dictation as usual. the ablation is one step below the x-stop procedure and one above the injection. he suggested it instead of trying a 4th injection.

so, we'll see. i'll call the office on thurs and see what they've heard and how they want to handle things. he said since the injections work for hrs to days after and my legs improve that the ablation can last for up to a yr. wouldn't that be nice.

so on to the neuro on thurs about my pain.

my housekeeper is coming tomorrow to help me start going thru this apt and give, throw, donate things away. i've got to start clearing things out looking towards the move.

i decided to buy a matching 4 tier bookcase that will match my desk. they had it on sale for 20% off. i think it will tie things together and i can put the fax/copy machine on it and move my file cabinet.

my feet are killing me and my legs hurt a lot too.

but, enuf complaining.
cindy...how's the bot coming?

Hello dear Judy and everyone else here! AYUP, it is your long lost lil buddy, DM. Sorry I haven't been around much; I am just really overwhelmed lately. I haven't been feeling like my ole self much and am having some tests to figure me out. I can't seem to get rid of the headache/neck pain. Good luck w/that Docs!!! Also, looking at the monitor sets my headaches off all the more~~which seem to originate in the R eye.

As you know, I was in NC for my dear niece's surgery and she is recuping, albeit slowly. That was so very scary for all of us, but I am so glad I went. My Sis was so glad to have me there and I stayed w/my DD, so outside of sitting in the hosp, we did get some visiting time in.

I have been keeping up w/AMN's Bot foot and now, I don't think any one of us can keep us w/her. It's amazing how that thing has improved her life. Now, if we could just get her off the hooch!! hahahahaha
(still ka racking self up)

So, maybe one of these days I'll be back in the hallway and we'll have a midnight snack Judy! Take care of yourself and I'll check in again.

Love ya~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

love you DM. what kind of surgery did your niece have? how old is she?
i'm glad it went well tho. sorry about your headaches and pain. stay well my friend.

just a quickie from me. today was an awful day. i knew my legs were bad the 1st hr i was up. i went to my eye dr appt. came home and laid in bed and then went to my neuro appt. didn't take any pain meds as i needed for him to see me the way i really feel.

my neuro exam was NORMAL. he said my legs tested the same as before. i felt like i could hardly walk and the pain in my legs and feet was intolerable. i could hardly stand to wear my shoes. bottom line is he said i had spasticity and nerve pain. he even gave me back half my $$$ for the visit because he said he couldn't recommend anything else to help me. i was already on it.

anything stronger would have to come from a pain clinic. i'm going to see my pcp next wk and called my injection doc to get a referral. otherwise there's a pain clinic at the place i go to for my PT so i'm going to ask about that tomorrow. he'll write me a cover letter and referral if needed. i think i'll ask for that anyway when i decide where to go.

i took 2 percoset when i got home which just hit me 3 hrs later. he said we needed to break the pain cycle. i can't live like this anymore so have to seek other help.

the injection doc's office called and wants me to have 2 more sets of injections each 1 wk apart. this time they're going to inject the facets. i need to get a better explanation from the dr. she said that IF they help then they'll know they can do the ablation. if they don't i won't be a candidate and surgery would be my option. if that will help my legs i'll do it.

anyway. that's my sad story. the only good thing about today is that it's almost over and the worst is over.

take care guys.
