Thumbs down

I just wonder what she's gonna do once she stops eating that pre-packaged stuff. Tried that...hated it.

Default Now for the negative. . .

Kirstie just is not coming clean about her weight. If you read the different interviews, you can figure out she probably weighed a lot more than she admitted which was 205. I'm guessing it was at least 225-240. And, she is taking it off so fast with the packaged food she is setting herself up for putting it right back on. My husband did that whole thing and the weight did come off super fast but went back on almost as rapidly.

Unfortunately, cutting back what we eat and excercise, (yuck) is the only way to take it off to keep it off.

BTW - I love Kirstie's professional work, just don't think she quite came clean about her starting weight!!!

she isn't still just eating the packaged stuff. she told about that in the interview. she did in the beginning, then you start learning what to eat. she had her kitchen redone and has learned to cook healthier.

she does exercise. she has had a trainer. plus she loves to dance.

she admitted on oprah that she isn't jenny craigs ideal client. she didn't lose as fast or as much as they had hoped.

for me...a woman who is in her mid 50's...to take that challange ( it was i believe over a year ) did great. her weight might not have been as high if her lean muscle was low. so the scale doesn't always tell the whole picture. i wish thay had told inches and body fat lost.

I am currently 216 1/2 and 5'6". She is an inch or two taller than I am, but I looked at the pic in this week's PEOPLE, and she looks like I did at about 270-280. 220, my @$$. She may have changed her eating, but she still has to get real about her weight.

Default My point exactly. . .

She states she is 5'8" and I agree with you, Liz. My guess was 250-260 lbs. from looking at the People pictures. She is so pretty and her face never really looked puffy or anything. But I was so surprised by her back end and legs!

Curious - I missed the Oprah interview and should have seen it before opening my big mouth. It sounds like she is doing what she needs to do. I did see the bikini picture and certainly agree that it did take lots of guts. I'm 53 and even if I lost 40 lbs. - NO WAY.

All in all, she's a pretty good champion of women in their 50's.

I miss all the good stuff! I'm surmising that Kirstie Alley wore a bikini on Oprah's show one day last week after her weight loss? I overheard a couple of ladies talking about something to do with this in the cafeteria, but I couldn't put together what it was about. Oh well......I'm not gonna lose any sleep over it!
Hugs,
LS
