Default Ugh

Sorry I have not been posting just over whelmed with mother in laws care she is getting worse and we are trying to keep her at home through New Years.

I went to the doc Thur and she is sending me to a neurosurgen. My last MRI showed my disc at L5/S1 has slipped more and is going to keep doing so and we don't want it to start causing trouble beyond leg pain. I am nervous I have never had any surery or even been put in the hospital.

Oh they discovered I have maltrovalve prolapse also, I think I am going to self destruct when I hit 30.

Hope you all are ok maybe I will catch up on reading someday.

Red face

Hi there,
ARe you having any symptoms with the MVP?
some times it causes problems sometimes it doesn't.
Have heart palpitations? anxiety or feeling faint?
I was "checked for that" about 2 years ago...was having skipped beats and they did a full cardiac work up and determined it was anxiety.
thousands of dollars later....I might add.
anyway.
I hope that your back pain eases up on you...
can you take advil between pain pills?

Thanks ladies,

The MVP is causing symptoms that is how I found out I had it. I kept seeing a bright white light and just thought it was due to pain then I hit the floor one day and actually fainted. When I told my doc he did a ultrasound and MVP showed up. He put me on inderal for it and so far no more white lights, but I still have to go to the cardiologist on the 30th which I don't want to do.
Those medical test sure can get expensive can't they.

I can't take anything but my pain meds the doc told me I was trying to kill my liver and kidneys with all the OTC pain relivers I have been taking so now I only get them if I have a fever.

((hugs))

KareBear~
I was on Inderal years ago for migraines. I know it's a heart med, but they found it was also good at regulating migraines.

I don't know what dose you're on, but after they titrated me up to, oh heck, was it 240mg?, I had a problem with lightheadedness. It lowers your bloodpressure.

Just be careful, cuz of you fainting before starting the med. I'm sure your doc has warned you already, or maybe it doesn't affect you if you are on a smaller dose. I'm just a worry wart, although, better safe than sorry.

I hope you have good luck at the cardiologist! Make sure and let us know what s/he says!
Hugs,
LS
