Best way to gain weight is with FAT. When you are older,
high carb just stimulates insulin which clears it quickly and then you get low blood sugar. The fat in donuts however, is often a bad fat. You could do good fats in salads, Mayo (Smart Balance Mayo is omega-3), nuts, peanut butter. I like peanut butter on toast -- Smart Balance makes a good one now with Flax in it. Nuts are really good for you and if eaten generously provide calories.

I always have eggs or some kind of meat (left overs) for breakfast. (my hubby can't stand my breakfast choices! LOL)
I've been known to do Chinese too, or Pizza!
I typically eat a good breakfast, a lighter lunch and a light supper. I can't eat alot after 5pm, anymore. Too old!

Jo--- I love that mountain picture! All your pics are cool. I don't see visitor messages activated on your profile? So I am leaving this here!
