Default It' Saturday....

Good morning all. Nancy, I am so sorry that none of us responded to your heartfelt out pouring...I did read it and have empathy for your situation with your son. I hope he can get his act together. Am sending positive thoughts your way for the MRI results. (((Nanc)))

Yes, Bizi...I am feeding a very young deer whose mother was killed by a car in front of our church. He is much to young to be left by himself. There is a rescue lady in Michigan who will take him in but I have to catch him...no way can I catch him. You remember how little woods there is in back of church...he needs to head for the river but he's too young to know that.

I am really disappointed in the way my Christmas cookes for the church bazarre turned out....the decorations stuck to the plastic bag and smeared.
Maybe I'll go downstairs and try again.

Mr.Alffe has a funeral to go to this morning and a silly luncheon...duck & goose...a bunch of nonsence. And I haven't even begun on my needy family basket. On a positive note...I am done shopping and have everything wrapped!

Red face

alffe,
you are up early!
The dear is lucky to have you to care for her.
Today is a day for writing cards and possibly putting some decorations up and making some gifts and such...
feeling thankful for my family and hope my sister got her birthday card by now....
better get up and at 'em!

Hi to all this noon hour~ Just thought I'd stop by before going shopping. I'm in the Christmas spirit although I don't think my body is. I was standing this morning and my whole left leg is numb. How can I shop? It won't be for long.

Nancy ~ I read your post. You are a sweetie! Don't run yourself down. I will be praying the MRI's are ok, or show your problem.

Alffie~ Sorrry about your cookies. That would be my luck too!

Jan~ Fill us in on the date last night, or are you still on it!

bizi~ We should all be as greatful as you are about family. I don't have much left, but I am thankful for them and friends like you all.

Default Morning All

and a Happy Saturday back at you.

Today, I face the tree. It's not a big tree, we sold our big one when we moved and I got this 5' one for $16 at K-Mart. I have to put lights on it. Didn't buy a pre-lit one because they are so heavy and hubby is not to lift almost anything. But just like the Peanuts Charlie Brown tree, once decorated in gold and ivory, it is pretty.

Thanks to those with good thoughts for me. I am facing a real emotional battle and I needed/need help staying positive. A few days ago I was in a bad place that I don't want to revisit. My husband needs me and needs me happy. So, I will lock the mom concerns in my head until I meet with my therapist. That's my plan (until he walks in the door to get his stuff). "One day at a time, one day at a time, one day at a time,..."

Love,
Nancy

one of my prettiest trees was one that got left at the tree lot.

we had just moved to texas. 2 little kids...1 was a baby. had no money for a tree. the guy gave it to my husband. it was spindly flocked thing. i hung candy canes and made ripped fabric red bows out of some old material.

i have a huge tree ( that i am tackeling this weekend... ) that is all done fancy. but i remember my old one the fondest. charlie brown rocks!!

Default A Christmas Tree story~

In 61 or 62 we were in the Army in Ft Bliss, Texas & about as poor as you can get. We bought a scronity tree, that had been sprayed green, cuz they don't grow where we lived. It was about 2' tall. I bought a dozen tiny pink balls & 1 sting of miniture lights, that had a cut out around them that looked liked snow flakes. We couldn't afford more than one present apiece. We got bows and another Indiana buddie celebrated with us. He bought arrow's and I made the carrier's for the arrows. We could go to the dessert every weekend and we had a ball.

I will remember those two Christmas's more than all the rest. One yr. Bob got me a used sewing machine. That was a special time. I taylored many Army outfits with it, to make money. I do have some good memories, mostly when we were poor and couldn't run home when we had a problem.

Hey everyone. it is kinda late for me to be checking in but here goes anyway. We have been busy putting up all the decorations in the house today, way too many so I didn't put them all up.

Hey Nancy, I saw where you had your MRI's done in an hour. Did they let you out at all or do them all 3 in a row? I had 3 at a time once, they did a brain MRI along with cervical and shoulder. They were ruling out MS but instead, that is when they found the syrinx which answered alot of questions. I was so sore and disorientated when they finally let me out of there. Be sure to let us know what the docs say--OK.

Well they are starting the movie without me--we are watching Pirates of the Carribean the second one so I better go. Talk to ya later gators...Sue

Default Snoozie, you're not late...

...I figure that as long as it's before midnight, go ahead and post here, right?

Well, I never got to my little tree. I'm going to try photobucket-ing and if I get it all right, I will send a picture of my tree. I have to get it done tomorrow because my step-daughter and long time beau are going to come down and see us on Monday. That's going to help me a lot, my step-daughter is just a very sweet woman who goes out of her way to help. She has 2 mini
Yorkies so my weiner dog will be really happy too!

Ok, I'm going to try a picture of a weiner dog that I found. This is my test. My own dog is black.

If my picture doesn't work, expect more experimenting!
