Hey, why not? Who says we can't?
I wanted to let you guys--my online family--know how we turned out today-- at the meeting with the State Board. I emailed BS and copied it, so, here's the scoop: Hi~ We got home at 6:30 and I forgot about a wake I had to go —my g/f’s husband’s father. Had my pants and nylons off already, so put them back on and out I went… It won't be settled till after Jan. 1st--they want to make sure she's adhering to all of the rules set forth by the program she is in—(The one for Dr.s and Nurses, and she is)--she gave consent for them to look at her records. The lawyer doesn’t think she will lose her license, but there may be some more restrictions. It was a physically and emotionally exhausting day. Laura came out in tears and I could see she had been crying most of the two hours. Maybe that’s good…… My heart is breaking because she’s in so much pain, but maybe she needs to go this route to learn a good lesson. So many have told me….it’s in God’s hands…. I wasn’t even allowed on the same FLOOR as the inquisition. I kept the little cafeteria straightened up. One employee had 3 cigarettes in 3 1/2 hours. (They had to go outside to smoke) I was sitting by the door/window area. The last trip he made outside he looked at me kinda warily, like “are you watching me?” I was gonna go up to him with a notebook and pen and say “And you’re name is?” I thought he’d crap in his pants, and I didn’t wanna clean that up off my floor I had just picked napkins up from, so I let him go…. Anyway, long day… My feet are back in the volcano. I’d hate to feel them without the new pain meds… I think I’m gonna have a few cocktails with dinner tomorrow. Maybe a few too many… I still don’t know where he’s taking me, only where to meet him to follow to an unknown destination, and the clues he already gave me. Whatever it is, it better involve some vodka……. LS That's where we are with that... Thanks for all the prayers guys--I think they paid off.....at least I think they did.....the lawyer said they did. She's giving Laura a break for her fee--only charging $250.00/hour instead of the normal $375.00/hour because she's a single mom. That's very nice of her. What are ya gonna do???? So....let's hear from you guys. What's everyone up to? Are you ready for Christmas? Are you staying home and cooking? Any recipes from Gramma that you still make? Going to relly's or friend's houses? Any traditions that you do and will pass on? How did you tell your kids, or how did your parents tell you Santa got in your house? I think it's so cool to hear how others do things, cuz then we might pick up some cool ideas to do in our families.... Let's all share!! It'll be fun! Santa always came when my sister and I were in the bath tub. We always ate supper, then had to take a bath on Christmas eve and get in our jammies before Santa would come. He would ALWAYS come when we were in the tub--no matter when we took our bath!!! MAN!! We could never figure that out--we tried to eat fast, then the next year eat s-l-o-w, but it just NEVER mattered.... He would never come when my brother was in the tub We had a front enrty way we called the, is it a vestaview or bestaview? I called it best of view. My GOD!! I haven't thought of that word in 40 years!! HELP! What is the front entry little room called? Does anyone know what I'm talking about? That's gonna bug me now..... well, that's where Santa would leave our presents. We never saw him and I was jealous of the kids that he came to their houses and actually talked to them! I always said that I would leave milk and cookies out for him cuz all the kids wrote that in their letters, but I never did.... WHAT IS THAT ROOM CALLED???? sorry.... Both of my parents worked, so we kids were home alone a lot. One Christmas we unwrapped a Mousetrap game, played with it all night, then wrapped it back up. Mom never knew till we told her 20 years later. Did any of you guys ever get presents with a name tag with ALL of your names on it? I HATED those!! I'm done for now. I'll come back and write more memories later. I hope to read some of yours too. Maybe I can use some to start new traditions with my family!! Let's hear from you guys even if it's to say what you want Santa to bring you, or just to post a pretty Christmas graphic. BC--I LOVED that Santa and baby sleeping pic--awwww!!! Hugs, LS

LOL...no it's a vestibule. We had one when I was growing up but no way could you leave anything but your coat and boots in it.
We are all going to our daughters house in Southern Indiana...and yes Bizi..always bring a warm coat to Indiana. I'm done "baking"...all my daughters bake better than I do so I am bringing Red Raspberry Cream pies from das Essenhaus in Shipshewanna and I made cereal snack. I'm anxious to hear more about the vodka....rofl

The last two nights have been miserable so tonight I better sleep because we take off tomorrow!
I hope all of you have a Merry Christmas! I have many Christmas memories but the one that caused the most trouble was the year I was so excited I puked all over my sister, who I shared a bed with. She had to get cleaned up and one by one the seven children in my family woke up to see what happened. We ended up having our gift opening at 2:00 a.m. and then went back to bed. I'm sure I received proper retribution from my 4 brothers! Love you all and be sure to remember the reason for the season! nancy-h |

While it is still Wed I thought I would chime in here. I have had some bad news in my family. One Aunt passed away while the other was in the hospital not knowing if hse would make it. She thankfully did recover and is home now and as far as the other aunt there will be a memorial after X-mas sometime. Man I hate telling my kids about another family member leaving, you would think it would get easier but that is not the case.
Billie, I am so sorry that I didn't respond to your post. I love reading about how you are doing and I think of you often. I hope that you and Bear are doing OK. I miss you, so please come back...Sue I just noticed that my avatar looks like I am electrocuting Snoopy. Oooops--sorry snoop dog
