well, i'm moved and up and running. i won't bore you with the details of how hard it was. i'm tired but doing ok. things are coming together. the weather here has been very nice.

the house is sunny and spacious. of course i'm still unpacking. it's going to take a while to have everything in place.

i'm going to fly to west palm beach and stay with my aunt for a few days on mother's day. my cousins are giving a big party for her for M's D and it's her 85th BD. and, my family from clearwater are coming in. should be a great get together.

i'm also actually getting around town pretty well. i went to get my FL license and they're making me have my dr fill out this physical info form "since i have a progressive neurological disease"! then their medical board reviews it and they will "let me know if i can drived". !!!!!! can't tell you how much this ****** me off but best to let it drop here. i'm jumping thru their hoops.

good to be back and talking to you all.
as i get settled i'll be back more often.

OH, ps...cathy ended up developing pneumonia and was very sick. she got admitted to the hospital the day we were supposed to fly. everyone told me to make the flight and she went to the ER. i called my friends and they ended up helping her. she was in a wk with iv's and antibx. her fever was almost 106! she's home now and just went back to work. wow.

JUDY!!!!!!! So glad your all moved in, minus the packing of course. Don't worry about the DL form. Jim has to do this every four years. The doctor signs off and they give it to him. Never went before a medical board though, weird. I assume it's because so many retire to Florida and they want to be sure they can drive. haha Don't worry, you've been driving and doing fine. Who's driving you around right now? Or are you allowed to drive on your Co DL?

I am also sorry to hear your friend got so sick. Glad she is better! 106! Wow.

the handyman is coming soon to do a bunch of things around the house.
i'm going to start hanging some things and have other projects i can't handle.

He was supposed to get the Flexicisor but the VA in Washington deferred the request. So, that means we have to provide further documentation from Jim's pt and sci doctor. The sci doctor is reluctant to try and feels it's been denied. Ugh. We did find a portable motorized cycle that sits on the floor or table that costs much less so we may have to go that route. We think money is driving the deferral. We are seeing the pt today and will speak with him about it.

Well, I have only lost two more pounds...I know I need to step up the
excercise(step up, what a joke!) but with my limitations, sometimes
Im just happy to get thru what I have to do.

I finally broke my plateau. Its only taken me four months. Ive now

things are progressing here. the weather isn't too awfully hot yet. i sit on my lanai in the sun and read the paper. i even have a bit of color.

i went and bought some furniture to set up the guest room. it'll come in about a month. good prices too. i wanted things to be decent and functional but not over the top expensive.

it should be very enjoyable to see everyone. they keep asking me what i want to do and where i want to go. they don't yet realize how limited my mobility is. without my scooter i can't do any stores. i can't do shopping like they're used to doing. and the heat won't let me do much outside either.

at times like these i feel inadequate. i don't really let people see how limited i am. and i will have to. ick, i hate MS.
