Default I need encouragement

I am 61 years old. I haven't had a period since my mid-fifties. This past Saturday, I started spotting. Today, no spotting. Went to the doctor. She's going to do an endometrial biopsy in the office on Sept 11. (Oh wow, Sept 11. How's that for irony?)

My hubby's in a dither, I'm trying to act strong but my blood pressure belies my facade. I know that it's not the end of the world, but we have just put some lifestyle changes into effect that I really want to see come into fruition. Within the year, we'll sell the house and live full time in a 38' 5th wheel we bought just 3 weeks ago. Day after tomorrow, we go to pick up our truck we just bought last week and Sept 4 we have the hitch that we just bought installed. We just bought all these things and our plans are well underway.

I just don't need a challenge right now. I don't have time for it. We're taking the trailer on its first shakedown trip the middle of Sept. I just don't have time for my health to be bad or deteriorating.

Words please.
Thanks for listening.
LJ

Hi LJ. I hope everything goes well for you and you're able to stick to your plan. Sounds like fun!

I wouldn't get too worried about the spotting......my older sister had the same thing and it turned out to be nothing. Her doctor said it was just her bodies way of "closing up shop" so to speak. After a month or two of spotting there was nothing.....and she hasn't had any problems since.

Sometimes fretting and worrying about these things tends to make them worse and last longer. I know it's hard not to think about when it's happening but try not to worry and try to focus on the great time you and your DH are going to have on the open road!

Bobber and Kitty,
Thanks for the encouragement. In my strong moments, I do not worry. It is in my weak moments that I focus on the worst case scenario.

My hubby drives tractor-trailer for a living. At one point, in 2005, he and I and our sweet schnauzer girl went on the road together for 5 months delivering rv's. We were together 24/7; loved every minute of it. Our trailer has four slides so it has plenty of room. We are really close, get along great; I don't worry about the walls closing in.

Sept 11 can't come soon enough.
