Why are we (females) the one to bear the brunt of these drugs? To be the ones required to take them??
The uncertainty with birth control pills and now this. This is just the beginning I am afraid. If there is an STD, the meds will be geared to the woman, with sometimes devastating results. It truly saddens me. There is a definite unfairness. Something isn't right. |

Why I ask myself, are pregnant women targeted for the H1N1 vaccine? It has 25mcg of mercury in it. Pregnant women don't get anything...not even OTC medicines most of the time!
H1N1 swine flu vaccine has squalene in it. Squalene when injected causes autoimmune reactions in animals. It is implicated now in Gulf War Syndrome (95 % of veterans getting Anthrax vaccines have antibodies to it.) What will this do to a developing fetus? Do we have to have credentials to figure this one out?

I personally know of an over 35 yo first time at risk pregnant mom who's ob/gyno insisted she get the h1n1.
I would not be willing to take that risk, but to hear the docs they say it's just a flu shot. Not mine tho. He said he's not pushing it at all. |

Ask your doctor what is in the vaccine....
Only listed on the FDA insert are active ingredients. Inactive (which squalene is not) are not listed. None of the adjuvants are listed! I spent an hour on FDA website....to verify this! If you buy a tube of antibiotic ointment OTC or any vitamin product the inactive ingredients are listed! But not for the vaccines....oh, no.... secrets there!

they way they push these things too, the commercial Guardisil.. blah blahhh I have four girls... first thing I thought, many of us lived without this great vaccine for whatever cancer it is.... I am always shy on meds.. especially vaccines.. I had my kids vaccinated with the ones that were maditory at birth etc... but I waited on each on chicken pox one till they had to have it for school. I was not one for that vaccine... my older kids had chicken pox... no problems... I know there is high risk in some stuff... but some of these meds and then ohhhh nooo now we find it is doing this or that... crazy!!!!
The H1N1, sorry I was preggo 6 times, and I would not take a new vaccine, to ward off flu when preggo... heck only time not preggo that I had the reg flu shot is the only year I got the flu in many many years.... pregnancy as you mentioned, heck you can not take certain drugs off shelf without dr knowing to see risks etc... why give a new vaccine that I am pretty sure might not have all testing done yet with...uggggg hugss, sarah

I'm not against vaccines, but I don't really see the point of Gardisil when a condom will prevent its spread, along with many other STDs that don't have vaccines. We should be trumpeting the message of safe, responsible sex with much more fervor.
