Question Uti

Hi all
I've been doing lots of searching on UTI's, as latley I've been suffering from pain, that feels a bit like period pain, but not any where near my period.
I've also been needing to go to the loo alot at night, no burning tho.
I was wondering if this could be a UTI.
I visited my GP ages ago, didn't think of a UTI then, he was a bit concerned about the site of pain, and did a ca125(I've had loads of other problems, so it wasn't just something he decided out of the blue)
I guess I'm wondering can you have a UTI and not have a burning sensation when urinating, as this seems to be one of THE symptoms.
thanks
Kate

Hello, redtail.

Getting tested for a UTI is quite simple: give a urine sample. That simple urine sample will put to rest your concern about having a UTI.

I have dealt with UTIs starting at the age of 4...44 years

UTI Symptoms:

- pelvic pain and pressure
- foul smelling urine
- fever
- burning
- pain when urinating
-fatigue
- frequency (needing to go more often yet not passing much urine)
- incontinance
-nausea

You can have all or very few of these symptoms.

One of my last threads was UTI from Hell. A UTI that did not respond to 3 months of different antibiotics. There was no burning, no fever, peed a lot (but I always do), only other sign is I felt "stuffy". My urine stinks more when I'm fine!!! See your PCP!!!!!! My UTIs never seem to follow rules.

Thanks for this,

I have wondered if it is a UTI without the usual symptoms, that would be a classic me.
My myasthenia gravis is playing up and that usually means I'm suffering from some undrelying infection...am seeing my GP(general practioner) on Friday, so will sort it out then!!!!

I thought I had a UTI from h@@@ over the summer. Long story short, I was tested a few times by a Urologist and Urogynecologist and NO infection. So, what they think it was was nerve issues due to problems with sacrum/coccyx and pelvic floor issues. All I can say is that there was no burning, smell or anything else. But I shot up off the john every time I had to go. It eventually calmed down with Prosed. Oh, and it wasn't IC either.

I hope all goes well with your visit.

I'm guessing my Dr didn't find anything wrong with my urine path results, as he hasn't rung me. Oh well.....
