I am seeing my gyno doc tomorrow as a follow up to a D&C I had a while back. She had mentioned progesterone as something she wanted to try with me and I was hoping to get some firsthand info from the ladies here.
What I am wondering about is whether it is safe and what can I expect while using it. I have had heavy periods and recently had an abnormal biopsy which brought about the D&C. Thanks for any help...Sue

I have taken it in the past and it helped me with my heavy periods, sleeping and pain. Gave me some water retention though.

There are fewer side effects from natural progesterone:
ProMetrium oral Synthetic : Provera Aygestin birth control pills (various) Some women do better on the suppositories, or compounded topical transdermal gels.
